information as soon as we get it. tonight news 6 has learned no charges will be filed in the death of two toddlers who drowned in a holly hill pool. >> lisa: we first told you about the incident in july when the two 1-year-olds were found unresponsive in this backyard pool. news 6 reporter justin warmoth is here now. police did originally charge the woman who was supposed to be watching the children. so what changed? >> reporter: according to this memo from the state attorney's office today, prosecutors did not find sufficient evidence to charge the 33-year-old woman with manslaughter like the deputies recommended. she was the mother of one of the toddlers and grandmother to the other. >> reporter: on july 30th of 2015, the children slipped out of an unlocked sliding glass door and tumbled into this dark algae-infested pool in the backyard of a holly hill home. a 33-year-old woman was watching

she put them to sleep around 11:00 the night before she said, barricading them in their rooms, locking all the doors. when she woke up around 7:00 that morning, the toddlers were still asleep. so she went back to sleep. when she woke up around noon, the back sliding glass doors were open. she found the toddlers, not breathing, facedown in the pool. according to the memo the state attorney's office released today. prosecutors said the facts surrounding this tragedy do not rise to the level of culpable negligence, sufficient to the filing of criminal charges, noting jenkins took the appropriate steps to secure both children. but what about the pool, filled with rainwater and the lack of a safety fence surrounding it. we asked if that was enough to

>> reporter: well, if it's like any of the other trump rallies, we can expect thousands of people coming here to ucf, many telling us they're coming just to see if there are any kinds of disturbance or if hecklers get kicked out. students are planning a protest and working with ucf police to make sure everything is peaceful. donald trump, the g.o.p. presidential frontrunner, making a campaign stop at ucf on saturday. also expected, thousands of people packing the cfe arena to listen to him. >> just interested to hear anything he has to say. when you have a presidential campaigner coming to your campus, it's like, wow, we're actually on the map now. >> reporter: outside the arena, a group of students are planning a protest against the republican presidential candidate. the facebook event says more than 800 people are going to be there. >> we don't want anybody to be violent. we don't want any rude comments toward the other people. we just want to show the trump campaign, the media and the

trying to voice our opinions. >> reporter: i asked ucf how it's preparing for trump, wanting to know how many people are expected and what the university is doing to keep the event safe. ucf has experienced hosting large events with notable speakers in the past, like former president bill clinton. the university tells news 6 it plans to release information soon on how it will handle trump's visit. >> i feel like there's going to be a line around the building. i can't wait to see what will happen. >> reporter: the candidate is known for kicking people out of his rallies who speak out against him. they're working with ucf police to keep everything peaceful. >> they're helping us with security, showing us the way we can peacefully protest. >> reporter: i just checked. that facebook event is now up to 900 people who say they're going to that protest with almost 3,000 people interested. you can get free tickets, two free exhibits to trump's rally this weekend.

controls the airbags. dealers will replace the computers at no charge. toyota says they're not aware of any injuries in connection with this new recall. takata airbags can inflate with too much force, though, shooting out pieces of metal. 10 deaths worldwide have been blamed on that problem, including one in central florida. >> ginger: the top u.s. airlines all want a piece of the cuban travel market. american, southwest, jetblue and others submitting applications to the u.s. government, all hoping to fly to cuba. most are looking to fly between miami and havana but some of the proposed flights leave from boston, new york, l.a., or denver. subway is giving its customers a healthier option. >> lisa: the fast-food restaurant is now offering antibiotic-free chicken >> right now, customers can order rotisserie style chicken

on dude. >> ginger: i'm skeptical about that. don't mess with my money. >> tom: if you lose your phone, they got everything. >> lisa: everything, yes. >> tom: they can't take the great weather away. take a look. on to radar. it is good to go. we have a chance for rain coming in later tonight. i want to talk about where it's raining in the state of florida right now. it's not here. it's way back up to the north and the west. here's panama city, right along interstate 10, cruising out to mobile, alabama tonight. a touch of rain there. heavy showers, too. some storms going on west of there. you see what's going on along i-65, coming out of mobile. heavy rain picking up around atmore. you come to central florida from ocala to the villages to orlando, nothing going on but the good weather. temperature readings across the southeast tonight, 40 in atlanta, 71 in jacksonville, 68 in pensacola and 75 here at home in the villages. 72 in ocala. 76 in gainesville. still 80 in sanford and 79 in orlando.

getting a new temperature update. we won't be that warm at 6:00 tonight. we'll still be mild. the rain doesn't get here until way late. it's not like it's raging and blowing in here. it's just a reinforcing shot of cooler air. between now and midnight and 1 a.m., it's not a big deal. it's after when 3 or 4:00 in the morning, the edge of this comes through marion county and makes its way down to the villages. the heaviest of the rain looks to be 5 a.m. west of daytona beach and by 6, 7, 8:00, it passes on through. that puts it into downtown orlando just before sunrise in the 7:00 hour and then out of brevard county by around 9:30. through the day tomorrow, i'm not talking about a rainy situation. i'm talking about an improving weather situation through the day tomorrow. on for saturday. and sunday as well. overnight lows tonight are not too shabby. 56 degrees in ocala. 50 in leesburg and 57 does it in palm coast and daytona beach, 60 before the rain arrives just before sunrise tomorrow. overnight low tonight is 62.

>> ginger: this is going to sound pretty crazy, there's a snow shortage in parts of alaska. >> lisa: the race starts this saturday in anchorage, but the snow has been melting so they've been hauling in the powder. a race official says this has never happened before. the section of the race going through anchorage has been cut from 11 to 3 miles because of a lack of snow. we all know that donating blood can save lives. >> ginger: did you know it can also save the lives of our pets? meet oscar, a pet blood donor. he's been donating a couple of years now.
