we're keeping a close eye on this developing story. we'll bring you any developments as we get them in to the newsroom. >> lisa: and we're still digging for more information after a 22-year-old man was found dead at an orlando apartment complex. this is a picture of the victim, carlton wilson. his body was found around 8:30 last night at the cypress point apartments on versailles drive, just west of the john young parkway and orange blossom trail intersection. we were there as crime scene investigators searched for clues after reports of a shooting. investigators have not said how he died. they turned over the investigation to the homicide unit. we'll keep you updated with any new developments as soon as we learn more. >> ginger: new information tonight, a juvenile is now facing first-degree murder in a double shooting in winter park. the investigation began inside this home last month on comstock avenue near fairbanks. that is where we find news 6's

you spoke with the victim's family. what did they have to say? >> reporter: the mother of prank freeman tells me this is the first time she's hearing about the arrest herself, but she's glad someone is paying for what happened to her son. >> reporter: balloons and flowers were left at the house where two men were shot. mary freeman lost her son last night and held a funeral this weekend but tells us she's still searching for answers. >> it's been hard, trying to figure out why did it happen. this is just senseless. >> reporter: on february 17th, winter park police found the bodies of 46-year-old prank frank freeman and 23-year-old jordan ingram. but there's a new development in the case. a juvenile was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder five days after the shooting. police say they cannot give any

sealed by court order. but mary freeman says she has more questions. >> well, anybody that would know something, i would like for them to tell it, you know, or tell what really happened. because somebody knows. >> reporter: in the last hour, i let you know that winter park police did say they'll have an update for us. coming up, i just got off the phone with the public information officer and she's not able to give us the update because the case records are sealed by court order. it's a difficult situation. not a lot of information. as soon as we get any updates, we'll be posting them to our website at clickorlando.com, powered by news 6. for now, we're live in winter park, kirstin o'connor, news 6. >> ginger: hopefully that family can get some answers. thank you. the countdown is on for the planned launch on the space coast. all systems are a go for the

the attorney while the judge reduced her bond from $50,000 to $2500. her judge claiming she has no prior record. the state argued the pair would be a flight risk. >> he also went to north carolina after this incident occurred. >> it appears there's decent evidence one against the other. you can't even tell she knew. >> reporter: the duo turned themselves in yesterday after getting caught on surveillance video with winters' daughter in tow. facebook tips and winters' husband helped identify his wife in the pictures. >> it's girl scouts. that's an american icon. >> reporter: both are charged with robbery by sudden snatching and theft. >> lisa: the lead pipe that caused a water pipe in flint, michigan are now being removed. crews began their work this morning digging up the old pipe, connected to water mains in the

flint mayor karen weaver says she wants all the pipes replaced and asked the pledge $55 million to do it. >> i want to say that the goal, my mission is to totally get the lead out of flint, but we cannot and we will not stop there. we need to be focused on a complete renewal of flint's water system. >> lisa: the governor's office says it's going house to house to physically inspect and see where the lead lines exist. the mayor is using $2 million. the city has received money to replace 8,000 lead service lines. >> ginger: new zika fears tonight. researchers have made a breakthrough on how the virus affects the brain. in laboratory dishes, zika can harm specific cells that help the brain develop.

not prove the virus causes birth defects. the mosquito-borne virus is spreading in latin america and the caribbean. there are 48 cases of the zika virus in florida, all travel-related. four of those cases involve pregnant women. the c.d.c. says the virus lasts between seven to 10 days. new numbers from the government tonight show 242,000 jobs were added last month, far better than the 172,000 jobs added in january. in the meantime, the jobless rate held steady in february at 4.9%, an eight-year low and a level many experts consider to be full employment. fresh off his year in space, nasa astronaut scott kelly holds a news conference back in the united states. >> lisa: how nasa hopes to use the data collected to prepare a future team to go to mars. but first, a knife reportedly found in the florida home of

and the death of her friend, ron goldman. they're testing the knife a construction worker found. he turned the knife over to an off-duty l.a.p.d. officer years ago. the department says when detectives discovered the now retired officer had the knife, they immediately launched an investigation. they say the former officer believed the case was closed and kept it. >> when a case remains open, it is handed off to a special team. our open case team. that is who has it at robbery homicide. they would not have been the original investigators on this case. >> ginger: o.j. simpson is currently serving time in nevada for a 2008 armed robbery and kidnapping. police say he cannot be charged again with murder in the 1994 case as he was already acquitted. >> lisa: astronaut scott kelly is back on earth after nearly a year in space. the 52-year-old set a record in space for circling the earth over 5400 times and traveling

he told reporters in houston he could have gone longer if he needed to. scientists were surprised to find kelly had grown 2 inches after his initial touchdown on earth. but gravity later brought him back to his normal height. >> the flight itself, i think the only big surprise was how long a year is. it seemed like i lived there forever. it seemed longer than i thought it would be. but i did, having flown before, i did pace myself appropriately. so i felt pretty good about that. >> julie: kelly landed in kazakhstan on wednesday morning in houston to hugs and american treats yesterday. >> ginger: well, move over winter. spring is here. spring training, that is. the houston astros kicked off their first home opener at osceola county stadium, facing cardinals. this is one of the last times the astros will be in kissimmee.

for tomorrow. sunday, mostly sunny and still dry. it's the 75th anniversary of bike week. that's hard to believe. radar tonight is clear. we started out this morning with a few speckles or spritzes of rain. it's all gone now. a cold front has passed on through. melbourne you're checking in at news time at 67 degrees. winds from the north-northeast at 17. 74 right now in orlando. 75 in kissimmee. 63 in ocala. daytona beach again is 62 degrees. wind speeds tonight, coming in from the northeast at 14 from daytona and 18-mile-an-hour wind in cocoa beach. 9-mile-an-hour wind at the cape. enough wind down along the coast, the waves are rocking, got some whitecaps on the water, but not enough to shut down the rocket launch, i don't believe. satellite and radar together showing you the front pushing through. the cloud cover is taken down to the south. we're left with clear skies, from here to charleston, to atlanta, to jackson, everything is good. it's a good run into the night. this is the water vapor loop.

of what's going to happen next by checking this out. the dark areas and the orange is the dry air aloft. it's brought you the blue sky you had today and made for a beautiful start to your weekend. coming in behind it, there's still enough dry air that i think most of our weekend is almost picture-perfect. here's the way it goes tonight. we'll get the wind coming in here from the northeast. so anytime we have that, that onshore flow, wind flowing from the water to the land, we get a little bit of cloud cover. futurecast almost always likes to say there's going to be rain in there, too. there's not really, you just saw the dry air that's going to gobble up any moisture aloft that could produce the rain. i think we've got a beautiful weekend coming on. both days are going to be fantastic. overnight low tonight, 50 does it in palm coast. 45 in ocala. 48 in the villages. the overnight low tonight in orlando is 52. here's tomorrow. >> tom: first thing in the morning, we'll be at 58 degrees. by noon, 75.
