stephanie/otsr police have now identified the officer who fired his gun overnight after a chase. senior police officer christopher brockert has been with the department since 2013. he fired at 25 year old austin allen, who had felony warrants out of west des moines and kansas for driving a stolen vehicle. patrol officers tried to pull allen over near southwest 14th and porter around 2:30 a-m, but he wouldn't stop. the suspect lost control of his vehicle, officer brockert got out and, according to police, allen began to drive toward him. so the officer fired. officers ended up arresting allen and three new felony charges have been filed against him-- assault with a weapon on police, theft and eluding. stephanie: an update from last night's deadly fire on 61st street. the victim has been identified as brian houston. the polk county medical examiner's office is doing an autops to figure out cause of death-- the cause of the fire is also still not known. jack/lam: the new hampshire primary ended the campaigns of two republican candidates today: carly
