finished picking up the cones. on the boulevard. southbound traffic heading toward the schuylkill expressway. a little bit more volume than a half-hour ago. no problems here. but north of here they are blocking at this point the express lanes until 6:00 a.m., so just a little bit longer between rhawn and woodward. stick to the local lanes for that. ornt big picture, the speeds -- on the big picture, the speeds are good, on the blue route and i-95. eva pilgrim told us with the three-alarm fire we have 71st street restricted at kingsessing avenue stick to lindbergh or island avenues. >> it took crews to knock down the fire in southwest philadelphia. firefighters are still out there to make sure it doesn't flare back up. let's go over to eva pilgrim live at the scene. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam, you can see the firefighters are still on the scene. the fire truck up on the top of the hill. the hellos is dragged across the
street. this is a vacant warehouse in southwest philadelphia. there are a few roads around the vicinity of the warehouse that are closed down. it was brought under control just about 11:00 p.m. last night. the fire broke out after 8:30 p.m. in this warehouse at 71st and kingsessing. flames were pouring out of the roof when firefighters arrived. by 9:40 firefighters were battling a three-alarm blaze which we were able to get under control. back out here live in southwest philadelphia. this fire was declared under control around 11:00 p.m. you can see, though, the hose is still stretched across 71st street at kingsessing. that's why the roads remain closed, because firefighters are dealing with hot spots in the area and these roads remain closed as they keep after that this morning. no word on what caused the fire. live in southwest philadelphia, eva pilgrim channel 6 "action
news." >> thank you, eva. new this morning, gunfire left a man in critical condition in camden. the shooting happened before 2:00 a.m. at benson street and utah avenue. the 21-year-old man was shot in the chest. officers are looking for the trigger man. a collision in northeast philadelphia left two teenagers in critical condition. a pick up truck broadsided a vehicle carrying two 15-year-olds. chopper 6 was over the crash yesterday afternoon. the 17-year-old was in the car and treated at the hospital and released. the driver of the pick up was not hurt. accident investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash. more trouble for the revel casino hotel. they face fines for complying with the fire code. they did not have competent engineers to oversea the alarms and equipment. the owner let go of union engineers at the property
command center last week. the fire chief said they have not responded to a violation notice. the property now faces 1,000-dollar a day fine. happening today, a new new jersey fan who lost a lawsuit gains the nfl is taking his case to the court of appeals arguing that the league only makes 1% of super bowl tickets available to the public at face value. that forces the average escrow to pay high prices on the secondary market. that violates consumer protection laws. >> coastal areas of south carolina are under alert this morning. there is a surge of for lack of better word waters from earlier in the week flowing toward the sea. crews are working nonstop to sure up dams and prevent damage to already-flooded neighborhoods. one ton sandbags and rock dam
have been installed. officials say the area's water supply could be in danger. residents are hoping for the best. >> i've never experienced anything like this and hoping and praying god watches over us. >> at least 19 people have lost their lives in the flooding. officials hope the rising waters will ease this weekend. >> reporter: i'm thinking back to weather courses and thinks when you took physical geography and natural disasters, they made the point when you try to dam a river you're going to lose it's crazy and when you get of this water in places it's hard to control. we have above average temperatures another nice day.

we look at high temperatures, 72 in allentown this afternoon. 73 in reading and trenton. a couple of degrees cooler in the northern suburbs than yesterday. similar numbers today in philadelphia and wilmington and millville. down the shore highs around 70 degrees, but nice. tomorrow we're going so zoom ahead of an approaching cold front probably get up to 80 in the afternoon. as the front comes through, the clouds increase and we'll see showers and rumble of thunder tomorrow which is odd for this time of the year. we do get that sometimes and tomorrow could be one of those days. in the northern and western suburbs, possibility of thunderstorm. maybe lighter showers rolling through and by 10:00 p.m. we have lighter scattered showers. if you're heading out to high school football check out "action news" before you head out and keep the storm tracker 6 live app handy on your smart phone. 75 is the high, sunny and
