>> we have a preview right now with david and karen. good morning. >> on satellite this morning, guys, we have a little bit of cloud cover until place but it's high and thin and i do think that it's going to burn off fairly quickly this morning. we should wind up with plenty of sunshine today. temperatures have started to dip a little bit in philadelphia, though. we're down to 49 degrees. 45 in allentown. 45 in reading. 47 in trenton. 47 in wilmington and the upper 40's as we head down toward the shore. the winds, however, which were very blustery late yesterday and last night are still a factor. these are sustained winds 20 miles per hour in philadelphia, most of us in the teens right now. another 20 miles per hour reading in dover. so, a little bit on the breezy side again this morning and you want to be careful of debris in roadways. for the kids on the bus stop mainly clear and breezy. i could see us dipping down into the mid 40's in places that aren't already there between 6 o'clock and 8 o'clock this morning. and as we roll through the day it's going to wind up a little cooler this afternoon. 45 degrees by 9:00, 53 by 1:00 and your high today is going to be 57 degrees. that will probably hit around 3:30 or 4 o'clock this

afternoon. fair amount of sunshine and staying on the blustery side. pollen count is still in the medium high range today and staying in the high or medium high range through friday. so, allergy sufferers beware. we get warmer air later in the week. i'll have details on that coming up in the seven day. there is no one on that road, karen. >> nobody and it's the schuylkill. that's good news. we've got a few cars coming. they hear you talking. this is the schuylkill at the blue route. westbound traffic a couple of trucks moving towards king of prussia moving just fine. roads are clear. roads are dry. we've got light volume. what else can i do for you on a tuesday? we have a problem out here in horsham, though. here's a new accident on easton road near moreland avenue. so watch for this accident. just can coming in to us right now. we have ems crews headed to the scene. switching over to i-95 looking live approaching cottman. that's your southbound traffic again very light volume, very early out there. just a few people out and about headed towards center city. we do expect more volume than we saw yesterday, a lot more people headed back to work today.

we've got some construction still going on out here. this is 422 at 23 westbound construction we see penndot with the cones as well as the arrow boards still blocking the left lane. the eastbound construction is wrapped up. we see police just off to the side at this point but westbound out there still a little bit longer. one more live look 42 northbound at creek road, traffic here moving all right, matt. >> thanks, car karen. let's get to our breaking news story. within the past few minutes the president of cyprus announced that the highjacking of an egyptair explain not terrorism. the plane took off from coastal egypt heading to cairo but planned on the mediterranean island of cyprus. the reports indicate he's a doctor and egyptian national who claims to have explosives on him. the crew of the aircraft and four foreigners are still on board the plane sitting on the tarmac in cyprus. we know eight americans were on that flight so again the president of cyprus is saying this is not a terrorism incident. we will continue to follow this story and update it for

you on the air and on 6abc.com. now to a developing story. a violent hit and run crash in a south jersey roadway left a man dead. the driver took off right after the victim's body landed in a burger king parking lot. "action news" reporter katherine scott is tracking the search for the driver live at that scene in pennsauken camden county. katherine. >> reporter: matt police have not identified the victim. we don't have a description of the vehicle but we do know that the police did recover the front bumper that fell off that striking vehicle here at the crash site last night. this happened around 11:30 last night and you can see the southbound lanes of route 130 by browning in pen salk can ken are opened. they will be closed for the police investigation. police say the man was crossing route 130 a little south of browning road. he had made it out to the median when he was struck by a vehicle traveling south. the impact of the crash threw the man across the southbound

lanes. he landed in a parking lot near a burger king and died. police were on the scene for hours searching for evidence. they're checking nearby surveillance cameras for footage and they also recovered the front bumper from that striking vehicle but again, so far they haven't released details about the vehicle or the victim but they are hoping to find more surveillance footage that can help in this investigation. we are live in pennsauken, katherine scott, channel6 "action news." >> thanks, katherine. new on "action news," this overnight crash on interstate 95 left pennsylvania state police puzzled. they say it appears the driver lost control, spun out and wedged the vehicle underneath the side of that tractor-trailer. this happened between academy road and cottman avenue just before midnight. now, when police arrived on the scene, the driver had already taken off. the truck driver was not injured. also new an uncooperative shooting victim is hampering a police investigation in north philadelphia. the gunfire erupted along the

1300 block of westemoreland street. police say after being shot twice, the male victim ran a block to broad street to look for help. detectives are having trouble finding the gunman and they say the victim, who is hospitalized, is refusing to answer questions. >> parents and school officials met face to face to talk about a hazing scandal happening at conestoga high school. they held a closed door meeting last night to talk about ways to prevent hazing. earlier this month a report from the chester county district attorney painted a picture of a hazing culture among members of the varsity football team. in october, three students were accused of violating a freshman with a broom handle. they were charged. the coach resigned and the rest of the staff was relieved of its duties. >> my heart's with that coach vogan. i know way a great quality person he is and all the staff and this is a great school and i continue to be very proud and grateful that i have a child herely. >> the school superintendent is pushing to hire a full-time

district athletic director who can can make district goals for athletes. >> ♪ >> presidential candidates on both sides of the aisle are looking ahead to tuesday's wisconsin primary. the next big contest in the rails for the white house. >> and happening today wisconsin governor and former gop presidential candidate scott walker will endorse one of his old rivals today. >> and some speculate that could be ted cruz. we'll have to see. looking ahead to the gop convention in cleveland, despite the growing number of signatures on anline petition, the secret service will not allow firearms inside the convention hall this summer. the petition was posted on change.org by someone whose user profile has since been deleted. the petition accrued nearly 4600 signatures. >> on the democratic race hillary clinton still leads bernie sanders by almost 700 delegates despite sander's wins in three states over the weekend by wide margins. clinton says the future of the supreme court could hang in

on satellite but most of this is high and thin and i think once the sun gets over the horizon, largely this should evaporate and we should wind up with a fair amount of sunshine. those winds are going to be a factor today, though. last night we had some gusts up into the 40's as we roll through the day we're probably looking more like gusts in the 25 to 30 range and in most cases maybe a 35 here or there. so, blustery still debris in roads, that sort of thing going on but not quite as windy as last night. allentown looks cooler. 52 degrees is your high today under the sun. still on the windy side obviously. down the shore, cooler today with sunshine and windy conditions, 56 degrees there. ocean temperature is at 49 and in philadelphia we're going for a high of 57 this afternoon, mostly sunny, windy and cooler. those winds in general are gusting to about 25 to 30 miles per hour, maybe a little higher than that at times. tonight we have a change. clear skies, winds for fall back a little bit but it is going to be colder. we'll get down to 33 degrees in philadelphia and below

freezing in a lot of suburbs and it's been awhile since it's been that cold. your heater will start clicking on again tonight. tomorrow we bounce back to a pretty nice high of 60 degrees under high pressure. winds will relax and we get a lot of sunshine tomorrow. your seven-day forecast, today's high is 57 degrees. we are going to be windy and cooler than yesterday but plenty bright. tomorrow sunny and cool with less wind, a high of 60 and then a front approaches us on thursday, so clouds will increase. there could be some late showers around but ahead of that front we get all the way up to 72 degrees so warmer air is returning. friday there could be some rain especially early in the day, still looks mild with a high of 70 and then another shot of cooler air returns heading in toward the weekend. 57 degrees, breezy and cooler on saturday, maybe a spotty shower there. 49 degrees with a decent amount of sunshine on sunday and then pretty much the same story on monday with mostly sunny skies and a high of 50. but we can deal with that. it's not like it's in the 30's, right? >> yeah. that's long gone lope fully.
