police say a man was in the doorway there. police went to check him out, that's when the shootout occurred. three officers were injured one shot in the vest one received a ricochet off a car and the third blood pressure issues. that was ahmad khan rahami on the stretcher after the shootingout with police in linden. he was hit several times at least once in the shoulder. this letter carrier was making delivers at the time. >> i heard two pops, i thought something fell off the back of a truck. i heard a voice, saying are you okay. i didn't know who it came from. i want into the body shop and i heard them say there's more shots. when i stood at the door you could hear more pops. >> reporter: what did you see? >> i just saw police vehicles coming from all over. >> reporter: overnight the fbi and state police had searched ahmad khan rahami's home in

"action news" reporter, chad perdelli has more on that from 30th street station. >> reporter: here in philadelphia, amtrak released a statement a short time ago saying it has increased security up and down the northeast corridor what that means there will be an i increase in uniford officers and plain clothes officers. police with bomb-sniffing dogs in penn station, two students were ordered off the train as they tried to get home from new york. >> we got to penn station around 12:00 and they waited on the train until 1:30 a.m. >> reporter: the two were delayed 6 hours. the board inside the 30th
