a star-studded get-out-the of this vote concert tonight with katy perry as the headliner. saturday night, i'm walter perez. the big story on action news is the final weekend of the presidential campaign. it was a year and a half ago when both hillary clinton and donald trump announced their bids for the white house and now it all comes down to the next three days. clinton hosted a rally and concert tonight right there at the music center and action news there. >> reporter: this was a star-studded event here. you had stars like deborah messing and katy perry urging thousands of people who attended the event tonight to vote for hillary clinton. >> this election is going to determine the outcome of people's lives. how privileged are you to think it does not matter? >> i thought it was spectacular. i thought tonight was great and it moved us. >> reporter: tonight, hillary clinton electrified supporters.
we caught some of them streaming out of the center after a two-hour event packed with star power from shanda rhymes, deborah messing and clinton supporter katy perry. >> it was a lot of energy in this concert. it was great to see hillary, of course, and also katy perry was a lot of fun. >> it was spectacular. happy to be here. my friend invited me. i'm leaving excited and i'm going to get more people to vote in my community. i'm going to knock on doors! >> reporter: clinton came out to a crowd of about 14,000 supporters andurged them to get out and -- and urged them to get out and vote reminding them pennsylvania may well determine who wins the presidency. >> when your kids and grandkids ask you what you did in 2016 when it was all on the line, i want you to be able to say i voted for a better, fairer, stronger america where everybody has a chance at the american dream!

be right here in philadelphia. she along with her husband, bill clinton, daughter chelsea, president obama and first laidley michelle will make her closing argument in front of independence hall and jon bon jovi as we mentioned will even perform. the event is set to begin at 7:30. doors open at 4:00. scary moments tonight for donald trump during a rally in nevada. secret service had to rush him off the stage. this is the video from just a few hours ago. you can see trump spot something wrong and then two secret service members run onto the stage grabbing trump and hustling him away with the secret service released the statement that someone in the crowd shouted the word "gun." you can see a scuffle. a man was apprehended. no gun or any weapons were found. a few minutes later after the man was taken into custde, trump returned to the stage. >> no one said it was going to be easy for us. [ cheers and applause ]but we'l.
i want to thank the secret service. these guys are fantastic. >> walter: trump finished the speech and flew to his next stop in colorado. meanwhile, earlier this evening, vice president joe biden and his wife jill campaigned in bucks county for clinton and katie mcginty. mcginty also spoke to the crowd at warren snider john elementary school in bristol. biden told the crowd america is better now than when he and president obama first took office but he said there's more work to be done. republican senator pat tumi held a final weekend rally in blue bell this afternoon. he was joined by arkansas senator tom cotton for an event right there at the wings field hangar in blue bell. to be discussed, his record and plans regarding illegal immigration and national security. earlier this morning, top republicans made a stop in chester county for a campaign for donald trump. former texas governor rick perry former arkansas governor mike huckabee and mississippi governor phil bryant spoke at the republican campaign office
right there in west grove. they told a crowd that four years under a clinton presidency could be devastating for rural communities in chester county. the green party's presidential nominee, jill steit the arch street meeting house with her runningmate. stein's platform included $15 minimum wage, cancellation of student debt, single-pai single-pair -- single-payer health care and a green new deal to deal with climate change. action news has you covered on election night. rick williams and monica will be with the trump and clinton campaigns. we'll have news crews fanned out throughout the region to cover all of the action. join us and our panel of experts and special guests. we'll follow all the results after polls close. that starts at 8:00 p.m. on 6abc.com. meanwhile, an arrest has been made in the theft of
several laptops from clinton staffers in northern liberty. investigators say three campaign workers left the laptops inside backpacks and suv's parked on the 100 block of brown street. they went to dinner a few blocks away. when they returned, the vehicle had been broken into and those backpacks were gone. the suspect was arrested late tonight and laptop were recovered but investigators add the laptops didn't contain sensitive information pertinentn broke in the parking lot of a shopping center in east falls, crews got to work trying to clean up that mess, but it wasn't easy. 6 million gallons of water overflowed into the parking lot there creating at least a half million dollars in damage. action news reporter bob brooks has more. >> bob: for the fourth time, restoration crews are cleaning out the businesses and washing the parking lot of the shopping center of fox street. for the fourth time, the water main burst and millions of
gallons of water poured out. once again, keshia vasquez has had it evacuate from shoprite to safety. you had to wade through the water last night? >> i had to go down that way. all of this was higher. i had to go all the way down where the water was maybe here. >> bob: you hear she was able to make her own way out, but it certainly wasn't easy. >> i fell. >> bob: it was cold? >> yeah, it was cold. i had to walk. i loaned out my car. i had to walk all the way home. i was drenched. it was so cold. >> bob: you can see the fire department had to bring in boats to it save people. 75 rescues total. sherry williams was shopping inside the ross. >> someone started screaming like the water, the water. >> bob: ross is now closed. this woman says she knows someone who was trapped in their car and may have drowned if it weren't for a quick response. >> they carried on -- they carried her out. >> bob: she was trapped? >> she was trapped inside, yes. bb bob i want to show you this is where the pipe burst. it's now created this massive
sinkhole. this huge mess that you can see is not going to be easy to fix. >> they need to fix it! >> bob: again, this is the fourth water main break at this parking lot. it's going to take awhile to drive these businesses out. now, neighbors upset are starting to point some blame hoping for a final solution. >> i think it's the water department, not the -- not doing something properly that hole was like that for months and months and months from the last one. >> bob: the estimate cost of damage to the stores is half a million dollars. you can see the car parked here behind says they'll never park in a spot this close again. they don't want theirs winding up like that. bob brooks, channel 6 action news. >> walter: talks resume this evening between septa and its union these work to end the transit strike now in its fifth day. septa officials say the union submitted another proposal and they're reviewing it. meanwhile a hearing is set for monday on a request for a
