interfere with the parade. >> good morning, everybody, 5:30, november 24. karen will join us during the parade. we have matt pellman and david murphy. >> reporter: right now we have light sprinkles and showers around baltimore, gettysburg and harrisburg they are falling a part as they head toward the east. it's possible that well get a sprinkle at the beginning of the parade. we may get showers out of southern portion of pennsylvania that crosses the parade route later in the parade period. 35 in allentown. 38 in reading. 40 in wilmington, 35 in millville. 36 in trenton, 36 in atlantic city. winds are light and yes, they are getting the balloon up and inflated and all set to go before too much longer. look for light wind. as we roll through the day,

7:00 a.m., 40 degrees, lots of clouds, 10:00 a.m., 46. toward the end of the parade there's a chance of a shower coming in from the west, 50 degrees by noon, you might want to bring along rain gear just in case, it's possible that they fall a part and we squeeze out a dry parade. 5:00 p.m., 53 degrees, most of the day should be dry. in a moment we'll come back and give you the black friday forecast and get you set for the weekend, too. >> a busy a couple of days, nice and dry on i-95. wow does this shot look different from a half-hour ago when we had the major southbound accident by the betsy ross bridge. they threw down the sand, the cars are out of the way and emergency crews left, as well. all southbound lanes reopened. looking good on the vine street expressway, overnight construction is, of course, suspended for the holidays.

you're good to go on the vinele and all the other major highways. around the art museum and the jfk boulevard, closures for the parade coming up in a couple of hours. three closures in place, more coming as the morning progresses. we had emergency construction coming into delaware just off the delaware memorial bridge along 295 southbound, sounds like that has cleared. all lanes reopened as you head toward i-95 along 295. in lawrnts township we have a -- lawrence township we have a water main break, princeton pike an alternate on thanksgiving morning. >> speaking of the thanksgiving morning, in just a few hours, the parkway will be the place to be you'll see the sights and sounds of the season. of course, 6abc is proud to be part of it. let's go over to katherine scott live at 20th and jfk at inflation station.

>> reporter: good morning, we've been very busy here, they need busier they have been inflating the balloons at inflation station. the one going up over there, that's captain barnacle, he is going up over there. we're standing by olivia the pig hanging out with t-rex. mr. potatohead, and the grinch. 18 floats, marching bands and singing and dancing and special tribute to dear old captain noah who died in august. they will weigh them down with sandbags so they can go along the parade route. we were speaking to volunteers who are excited to be part of effort. for many this is something they watched growing up.

alternates on this thanksgiving morning. a freak accident caused a medical helicopter to land in a residential area a jeep was stuck in the car and the car was put in newly that rolled on to a woman as she was walking her dog, she was trapped for 20 minutes. stacy and gerald pulled into their driveway in spokane and saw the man rifling through the car. she grabbed the bottle of sparkling cider. her husband wrestled him on the ground. >> he was saying let me go.
