i-95. the vine right here is open after overnight construction. we've seen a little bit of slowing brakes on the westbound side, but at the moment doesn't look too bad. finally overnight construction on the new jersey turnpike southbound in salem county has cleared. we have downed wires blocking the ramp from southbound 295 to hook road. you can get to route 40. word coming in of problems on the northeast corridor, amtrak police activity 30 minute delays between trenton and new brunswick. if you ride njt or amtrak your train might be late. >> a frantic search is underway for a driver who hit a 12-year-old boy in new castle county delaware stopped and fled from the scene. the child is suffering from multiple broken bones. annie mccormick has the latest at new castle police department.

>> reporter: the little boy is in guarded, but stable condition in the hospital. he may not be home until january and he several surgeries ahead. this is 12-year-old brian richards a 7th grader who is active in sports. new castle county police say around 5:40 p.m. monday he was struck and hit on memorial drive off route 13 in mink dell. police released a photo of a 2004, 2005 chrysler 300. the drivers side mirror should be missing. the passenger side side mirror should have yellow tinted glass with chrome back. brian's mom spoke about his injuries last night. >> he has a fractured skull with a tiny brain bleed. he has two broken legs.

shouted racial slurs and insults. the video surfaced online, the 16-year-old attacked the 14-year-old. the 16-year-old faces charges while the other was reprimanded. the district attorney said he is launching an investigation. it's not a crime to be a racist but when you start to intimidate and video taping them and referring to them in racial terms that crosses the line. >> he adds the 14-year-old who posted the video may be charge with ethnic intim nation or had a -- intimidation or harassment. donald trump is heading to ohio state to speak to the victims of the campus attack. mcman has been announced as the set of the small business

road is closed from 8 to 4:00 p.m. south jersey 42 is so much better than yesterday morning when the travel time was 50 minutes, this morning it's 13. a sluggish pace northbound from 41 to 295. >> students in reno rattled by police shooting return to work after watching a harrowing scene. they see a student swing a niefer around -- knife around classmates. a school officer opened fire when the teen refused to drop the weapon. is teenager in in critical condition. two teens have been charged with starting wildfires in tennessee that killed 14 people. the fire spread to gatlinburg causing widespread damage.

the flames damaged or destroyed 1700 buildings. new this morning, the toppling of a giant marble statue drew a crowd in a northeastern pennsylvania town. the driver jumped the curb and smashed into the base of the christopher columbus statue. the driver was taken to the hospital. the solid marble statue, gold on christopher columbus was not damaged. officials plan to put it back up once the dispense is repaired. an inflatable frosty had a meltdown in missouri. video captured someone jumping out of a car and slicing the snow man. the owner set up a go fund me page for his million injuries
