matt pellman and david murphy. >> reporter: it's cold out there, looks like we'll get early sunshine and we'll maintain sunny skies for the a good portion of the day before the clouds begin to pop up. temperatures are cold, below freezing everywhere. 31 in philadelphia. 29 in wilmington, 29 in reading. 30 degrees in allentown. just above the freezing mark in cape may, only by a degree. as we take a look at the windchill because of strong wind rolling through the region in the teens and the cold temperatures, it actually feels like the low 20s and upper teens everywhere across the region. 2 is the current windchill in philadelphia. upper teens in allentown, reading, wilmington, millville, feels like it's nine in the poconos and lancaster, 15. obviously it's a morning for winter coats and extra gear. lots of sun early, 30 degrees by 7:00 a.m. 36 by noon. this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. we'll get a high of 39 with clouds around, clearing out overnight, 34 by 5:00 p.m.,
32 degrees the freezing mark at 7:00 a.m., with the strong blustery wind it will feel like the 20s from start to finish. sunny, but brisk tomorrow, sunday we're looking at the possibility of wet snow moving in for parts of the region. matt pellman i'll have that in the complete winter call. >> reporter: here we go with the winter stuff. here we go with our friday commute. bucks county, northbound construction by 413 has cleared out. traffic as you can see is moving just fine. we're just starting to move on the vine street expressway. westbound has reopened, eastbound just beginning they have the off-ramp from the off off-ramp schuylkill to the vine blocked. the drive a couple of of them were closed overnight,
southbound lincoln and eastbound mlk will be opening as we speak. crews are out in mercer county arena drive, right lane and shoulder blocked for the next hour. a driver slammed into a pole in north philadelphia and abandoned the vehicle and took off from the crash scene. nobody was injured in this one car crash. it happened at 1:00 p.m. ridge and master street. no word on what sparked the crash. a semi clothed man is seen roam ago neighborhood in bucks county, flags down a motorist, and that's when he admitted to murdering his mother. katherine scott is at lower makefield police. >> reporter: the suspect was taken into custody and arraigned last night, he admitted to
stabbing and attacking his mother inside the home in lower makefield. let's go to the video you can see copy -- kope in custody after he was was charged in killing his mother. neighbors say the mother and son lived there alone. officers found the body of rebecca kope inside the kitchen around 3:00 p.m. there was blunt-force trauma to her head. police say they are tipped off after a partially dressed sackry kope -- zachary kope flagged down a car and said he murdered his mother. >> they saw the male acting suspicious. as soon as he approached the male, he said to police, i killed my mother. >> reporter: and the investigation continues this morning, kope is being held in
bucks county prison without bail. live in lower makefield katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> this is new this morning, one person is on the mend after shots rang out in delaware county. the action cam along the 700 block of comly avenue in yeadon. police responded to a report of shots fired. they got to the scene to find one person wounded. no word on his condition. police have not released the motive or the description of the shooter. we know the details of the funeral arrangement for trooper frankie williams. people came together in cumberland county to honor his life. now here are the funeral details, the viewing will be held from 8:00 a.m. until noon on monday boardwalk hall in atlantic city. the viewing will be split in two parts, the first two hours set a side for friends and family, the second two hours for law

gusting as high as 35 miles per hour at times. again during the height of the afternoon warming we're probably looking at windchills around 28, 29 degrees, it's going to be a day for coats and extra gear from start to finish. mainly clear overnight tonight, windy with wind dieing down to 10 to 20 miles per hour. overnight low in philadelphia, 28. a couple of suburbs might get into the mid 20s. the windchills will be an issue both this morning, you can see them in the teens across the most of the region. future tracker by 3:00 p.m. looking at windchills down around 30 degrees even though the high is closer to 40. if you're heading out tonight, maybe dinner and a movie, hats and gloves. for the weekend, tomorrow looks mainly dry, sunny for the most part and chilly, more clouds build in on sunday as the system comes in.
sunday into monday, we have a concern, because the system might produce showers and start out as wet snow in the western suburbs and change over to rain from philadelphia south. the best chance would be from roughly the pennsylvania turnpike and north. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, we're going for a chilly high today of 39 degrees. windy and cold a fair amount of sunshine. still brisk and cold on saturday, sunny to partly sunny, high of 38. feeling like the 20s, even though the winds are down a bit. sun to clouds on sunday, high of 40. hopefully dry for the eagles we can't rule out a burst of rain or snow here or there, most of that will hold off until nighttime. overnight sunday into monday morning, a wintry mix changing over to rain. monday looks damp. there's another chance of rain or snow mixing in on tuesday night and maybe wednesday. minutes. word on a shameful crime in chicago, a man robbed and beat a 90-year-old woman who was standing outside of home waiting for her doctor to pick her up for a doctor's appointment. a man followed her into the home attacked her and grabbed her pus and fled in a stolen suv. her family said the recovery will be long and difficult. the berks county man found near the famous pagoda has died. police found him near a cliff below the pagoda. they don't know if the it was an assault or fall down the embankment. detroit police are hoping
