blocking the left lane 70 eastbound past 295. of course where there's water there's going to be ice, matt and tam. >> thank you, karen. breaking overnight, police moved in on three men they believed to be suspects in a robbery in feltonville that led to a foot chase and shots fired at police. let's go to and live at the scene, front and the boulevard. >> reporter: good morning, tam, luckily the police officers are okay and none hit by the gunfire. let's take you to the video where the action cam was when the people were taken into custody, 17, 18, and 19-year-old. police found a gun and spent shell casing. one suspected fired at police when they ran away in an alley near rising sun and the boulevard. this started at 1:30 a.m. when the three used a gun to rob a 21-year-old man.

the description of the three and dark pick up went out, police spotted the pick up there was a brief pursuit. police lost them and they spotted again near front an rock handle when police arrived at the spotted the trio near rising sun and the boulevard. >> the police did an excellent job on this freezing cold night not only identifying the vehicle and chasing and apprehending all three of the robbery suspects, but they showed a whole lot of restraint after getting fired upon. the police officers for some reason they did not return fire. >> reporter: and all that went down in an alley right behind us over here where police wrapped up looking for evidence because of the crime. we were told that the three were taken to east detectives, so was the 21-year-old robbery victim who positively identified the

three. they face charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault against a police officer. reporting live in the northeast, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." matt, back to you. >> thanks, annie. new this morning, a driver in delaware lost control and slipped into an embankment causing the car to burst into flames. it happened on 495 in claymont. a passing truck driver used his fire extinguisher to help fire crews. the driver is in critical condition with burns and other injuries. i-78 in the lehigh valley is back open this morning. a car struck a power pole on cedar crest boulevard in salisbury township. it caused the pole to topple and drop a pole across all lanes on the interstate. all lanes are back open now. part of cedar crest boulevard remains closed. burlington county

heat. >> terrible night to endure that. >> reporter: it's worse as it's been all night right now. temperatures continue to drop overnight and that's exactly what we've seen. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing we are dry, that's good. as we step outside, we're expecting sunshine over dilworth plaza, there it is on our city hall camera, rothman ice rink in the foreground. it's wind out there, but the wind will dry down, for now we're rather blustery. take a look at the temperatures without any wind are bad. 16 degrees in philadelphia. 15 in wilmington. 14 in allentown and reading. 13 in lancaster. the windchills are in the low single digits and down close to zero in some areas. that really is everywhere. down in cape may, windchills around the mid single digits, maybe 5 or 6 is what it feels like. windchill of 3 in philadelphia. bundle up as much as you can.

satellite and radar shows a lack of cloud cover so we're expecting sunshine early, a few more clouds pop up as the day goes on. up in the lehigh valley, look for it to be cold. the highs i'm going to show you arrest a little misleading. they will happen around 10:00, 11:00 p.m. 26 degrees is the high in lehigh valley. during the day you'll be in the teens for a good portion of the day and the low 20s for a good portion of the afternoon. same story at the shore, high of 32. stuck in the 20s most of the day. in philadelphia, 28 about 11:00 p.m. tonight, right now we're in the mid teens, it will be a slow climb probably in the low 20s for a good portion of the afternoon. winds out of the west 8 to 16 miles per hour later. they are stronger than that right now they will die down during the day. overnight tonight, 24 is the low. more clouds build in, overnight we're looking at the arrival of the snow. let's show you that. by 11:00 p.m. we're probably dry across the region. overnight most of us will see

snow a good bet in the northern suburbs. philadelphia could get clipped with this, as well. tomorrow morning you get the snow filling in through the i-95 corridor, 5:30 a.m. notice how warm air is in the process of coming up from the south. south jersey and delaware will get nothing but rain out of this. as we go later in the morning, the warm air pushes past philadelphia and by 9:00 a.m. it's possible we change over to rain in philadelphia. it's all out of here in the afternoon. that progression from south to north, though is going to be slow. i want to sort of point out to you, as you see the snow change to rain, even if it is a fast change keep in mind there will be freezing rain in between, which is hard to tell if you're just looking at it, that surface is still frozen, it might be icy after the rain, okay. by the way we're looking at a coating to an inch before it

water supply. people are rushing for supplies of bottled water. we have dash cam video of a high-speed chase from western pennsylvania. it ends with the person being shot. it started tuesday morning troopers say they fried to pull over a -- tried to pull over a suspicious vehicle, the suspect drove off. when the officers caught up to him, he held a gun to a female passenger's head and threatened to shoot her. >> he said i'm going to kill her and pushed the point harder against the female's head. that's when an officer opened fire. the woman involved is okay. the suspect was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries, he faces multiple charges including aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. sixers host the lakers at the wells fargo center. jared bail atlanticess is out fe
