5:00 a.m., monday, january 2. tamala edwards is off, erin o'hern joins us. >> there's a chance of freezing rain and ice on the roads in the far western suburbs. a delaware resident is wounded in the deadly attack in turkey. a driver is caught in a high-speed chase in delaware. >> talking about rain, we have david murphy and karen rogers, good morning. >> reporter: it's more than rain in spots, storm tracker 6 live double scan is showing you what's mainly dry, but the farther north you go in the region, we're pickerring -- picking up rainen -- on radar. we have a chance of patching freezing rain up until 8:00 a.m. freezing rain advisory until 8:00 a.m. in south jersey and counties closer to philadelphia actually has been lifted in philadelphia itself and new castle county delaware and delaware county.

39 people were killed and dozens others wounded. one man wounded grew up in chads ford. >> reporter: matt, jake roth was visiting turkey with his friends when when this happened he was shot in the leg. jake roth was inside the popular nightclub in istanbul when the gunman opened fire in early part of 2017. roth a small business owner from greeneville delaware originally from chadds ford was wasserman schultz -- visiting turkey with friends. the bullet hit the cell phone and it likely saved his life. the nightclub was packed with 600 people celebrating the new year. 39 people have died. dozens more injured, many foreigners. 1 are -- 1:15 a.m., this

surveillance video shows someone shooting bullets in the street. inside you see the gunman in white with the hood. authorities believe he changed clothes. he was inside for seven minutes. islamic state group has claimed responsibility for the attack. police have drawn similarities to the suicide bomb and gun attack at the istanbul airport attack last june. they are looking into whether it was the same cell that carried out the attack. jake roth was hospitalized, but expected to return home sometime today. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thanks, katherine. new this morning, smoke and flames but gutted a house in delaware county. a two-alarm fire broke out on 14th avenue in prospect park at 1:00 a.m. firefighters arrived to find flames pouring from the top of

the house. no report of injuries. a police chase in delaware came to an end after the suv they were pursuing slammed into another vehicle. officers were attempting to pull over a stole jeep cherokee when the driver took off. the jeep collided with another suv at the intersection of 14th street. the driver of the jeep and three people in the other vehicle were taken to the hospital. a security guard at a port richmond bar shot and killed a man who became angry when he was refused entry to the establishment. it happened at the crazy leprechaun on richmond street. a man who was intoxicated pounded on the door to use the bathroom. employees said the bar was closed. he left and came back with several friends. he beat the guard and stabbed him. the guard pulled out a gun and shot him in the back, the

>> storm tracker 6 live picks up the start of a dreary two days for the delaware and lehigh valleys. the northern suburbs could see freezing right now. good morning, january 2, tamala edwards is off, here's erin o'hern and david murphy and karen rogers. >> reporter: we're off to a wet start, as you mentioned matt, some of the northern areas could be seeing freezing rain. we're getting an indication of that on storm tracker 6 live right now. for some of us, it's steadier rainy cells that pop up. some of us in berks county and blip in chester county, basically the farther north you go, the colder the temperatures are. even though it's rain that hits your windshield it could freeze up on surfaces below freezing. a new updated map a couple of minutes ago, i showed you this a couple of minutes ago, but i'll do it again. freezing rain advisory lifted outside burlington county, philadelphia, delaware county out of this, as
