30 bypass as an alternate. >> a man was outside working on his car with friends when a gunman came up behind him and shot and killed him. it happened in the west oak lane section yesterday evening and police are hunting for the killer this morning. annie mccormick is live at police headquarters with the full story, annie. >> reporter: police are pretty sure that the victim was intended target in the case. when police arrived he was unconscious they rushed him to einstein where he was pronounced dead minutes after he arrived. this is video from the scene. this is happened 5:30 p.m. in west oak lane. witnesses described the victim as a sitting duck he was sitting working on his car. he jacked up his vehicle to change the brakes. the shooter came out of the nowhere and fired multiple shots hitting the 26-year-old victim
four times in the back and torso. police have no doubts the shots were meant for the victim. >> when the shooter came from a driveway came up to the back of the victim who was sitting on the street and the male fired four shots from pointblank range. >> at this point police have no motivated, homicide detectives have been out in west oak lane neighborhood they have a vague description of the shooter, they say he fled on foot. if you have any information, 215-546-tips. reporting live -- 215-686-tips. back to you. the action cam was on the 300 block of south jackson street last night. police were alerted to the scene by a shot supporter, a technology that used sensor that
detects gunshots. police transported a 19-year-old and 24-year-old and 36-year-old to the hospital. police say all of the victims are in stable condition, but they have no details on the shooter. marple township police have arrested a suspected carjacker and weighing charges against a couple for leaving their child alone in an unlocked suv. police say the parents left the suv open and running while they went to a bakery and wawa. 22-year-old took advantage of the moment jumping into the vehicle and taking off with the couple's one-year-old daughter in the back seat. police tracked down the suv and the child was unharmed. with the suspect in custody police are turning their attention to the parents. >> as a cop and a parent myself, i think no parent needs to be a made aware of this, kids in the car are your number one responsibility no matter what. >> the parents could face a
traffic citation for leaving the child unattended or child endangerment. authorities identified 69-year-old mary louise smazabell as the 5th victim who lost her life in airport shooting. terry andres was also killed. esteban santiago is facing federal charges that could lead to the death penalty. u.s. senate of the first step toward repealing president obama's signature healthcare law. it would have follow up legislation by democrats. president-elect trump said he would repeal and replace the healthcare law as soon as he
