questioned. before the big on thon mix, the school sends kids ad advisory about the mumps. >> reporter: we are cold outside, there are clouds around, generally speaking we'll see clouds mixing with sun today. we are starting out on the chilly side, though, if the temperatures are all we're worrying about you will be okay. 35 degrees in philadelphia. we have winds in the teens in most neighborhoods and gusts are heading into the 20s and 30s in some cases. you put that altogether, we've got windchills making it feel like the low 20s. it will be this way all day long with windchills in the 20s from start to finish. 35 degrees by 7:00 a.m. 37 degrees by noon. the high today is 39 by 3:00 p.m., again with the strong blustery winds gusting as high
as 35 miles per hour or more at times it will feel like the 20s, we're looking at the great change for the weekend, i'll take another look at that in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, coming up. >> reporter: we had construction closing down the vine street expressway, you can see traffic is moving fine, all the ramps have reopened, as well. dave talked about a gust request wind ear testing that here, on the big picture, no major issues as you head out the door. we had construction on 422 at 23, the crews are off to the side on the ramp there. all lanes back open, no delay on 422. here's a live look in gloucester city new jersey, 42 near market street construction scheduled to clear right about now, not seeing any sign of it now, traffic moving nicely at this point. one more look in new jersey, this is west deptford we have construction blocking the right lane it lasts until noon on the turnpike southbound approaching exit 2 for 322. matt. >> breaking overnight, a traffic stop turned into a wild
police chase in west philadelphia, but went on to the schuylkill expressway and ended in front of the pennsylvania state police arrest i can say. barracks. that's where annie mccormick is live in wynnfield highlights. >> reporter: it is ironic the police chase ended in front fortunate state police barracks. you can see hind me the car is still here. the police are holding the car and waiting for a search warrant and tow truck. take a look at this video this is one of four people taken into custody from the car that stopped in front of the belmont barracks after a chase in west philadelphia and on the schuylkill expressway. before the chase, a call shots fired drew the attention to the police to the 800 block of alden in west philadelphia. it was there that police took a man into custody allegedly with a gun.
at the time he was seen getting out of the vehicle that would later be involved in the pursuit. police say as they were taking the man into custody, four people in the car took off and that is what sparked the pursuit which, again, ended here. back out here live, in the area of shots fired officers responded around the area, they didn't findny victims or any sign of a crime. this is under investigation. in total five people are in custody, the man that was taken into custody in west philadelphia and the four occupants of this car, as well. police are trying to sort out what happened, all the people are currently at southwest detectives. reporting live in wynnfield heights, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." back to you. >> a driver is facing charges that he hit a husband and wife who were out for a bike ride in south jersey. chopper 6 hd was over this teen e scene along the 1200 block of delsea drive in franklin township both bikes were on the ground.
the couple in their 50s were rushed to the hospital. the women is in critical condition. the man is in stable condition. a murder investigation is underway following a double shooting in atlantic city. two people were shot after 8:00 p.m. at south carolina and drexel avenue, one died, the second person was wounded. police are working to find a may have motive -- motive and have not made any arrests. a montgomery teacher faces charges of child sex abuse. michael barbie is skewed -- accused of molesting a 3-year-old girl. philadelphia archdiocese is cooperating fully with police. two students on the main campus have been diagnosed with the mumps days before the thon's

out there, there might be a flurry in the northern suburbs later today, but nothing now. as we take a look outside, we're looking at sky6 live hd, there is the commodore barry bridge. you see clouds overhead with breaks. i think that's what you can expect most of the day, clouds an sun mixing. 34 degrees in philadelphia. 33 in wilmington, 30 in allentown. as you survey the numbers it's not the end of the story. we have winds in the teens, gusts in the 20s and 30s right now. windchills are making it feel like the low 20s in most neighborhoods, definitely the extra gear as you head outside. there's the sunshine and clouds mix, you may need your shades. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast clouds and sun, 37 degrees feeling like the teens and the low 20s for the afternoon for the most part. down the shore, 40 degrees, windchills not getting much out of the 20s today, maybe low 30s at times.
philadelphia, 39 degrees, windy and cold all the way, with the mix of clouds and sun, winds out of the northwest could gust as high as 35 miles per hour. maybe 40 briefly in some spots today, not as windy as it was on monday when we had the wind advisories, but raw and uncomfortable if you're not dress appropriately partly cloudy overnight, brisk and cold, 26 for the low. easing back a little bit, but noticeable. tomorrow, lots of sun, high pressure moving in, bringing us bright conditions. with the high in place we'll manage to bring the temperature up to 45. tomorrow, more sun and slightly milder temperature. speaking of mild is when we cash in. on saturday, a ridge of high pressure buildings in, a strong southerly flow bumps us up to 60 that's 16 degrees above average. we're going to 65 and near record highs in parts of the region. philadelphia's record, 68.

can see this is blue ball avenue which is closed between columbia and scott. it's dark, but this overpass right here that's closed over i-95. the problem is construction crews were out there they damaged one of the support beams, so it's going to be closed indefinitely. use chichester avenue there. let's look at the waze app. the name of one with a repeat. montgomery drive watch for an accident. it's a good name i can't repeat it. >> reporter: 30 in allentown. 35 in atlantic city. how about the gusty winds, 24-mile an hour wind gusting that's making a windchill significant, 23 in philadelphia. a new york judge ordered a woman to not get pregnant until she got possession of her son.
