morning. >> a couple is hit by a car as they left a family getting together in north philadelphia. the driver smashed into them and took off. this morning police has arrested the suspect. our katherine scott is live at the investigation unit. >> reporter: good morning, that's right, a family member said the two victims were heading to a family gathering they were a couple and heading to their respective homes when this happened. one is in critical condition one in stable condition. this is the suspected driver, the man police believe was behind the wheel of the hit-and-run in north philadelphia. he is in custody, he has not been charged yet. it happened at 10:15 at 6th and erie. 44-year-old man and woman were hit by the car and rushed to temple university. he was unconscious, he would neck, back, trauma and leg injury, he is in critical condition. she is in stable condition.

the car was recovered on the 2100 block of frailly street near the suspected driver's home. the windshield were broken, the mirror was hanging off, car parts found at the scene. the driver was seen taken into custody. police are investigating if the driver was under the influence. so far no charges have been filed in the case. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thanks, katherine for that report. new on "action news," a lehigh valley teen was killed in what investigators were called an accidental shooting. it happened on the 3900 block of orchard road in lower macungie township. pennsylvania state police say several juveniles were involved in an apparent accidental shooting. police have not said who was holding the gun and have not made any arrests, an autopsy is scheduled for today. police in vineland

cumberland county are investigating a drive-by shooting. officers were called to a lot chestnut and myrtle streets around 4:30 p.m. that's where they found a man shot multiple times. no arrests have been made. testimony continues in eric frein's capital murder trial on trial for the ambush shooting killing brian dixon and wounding another. he has pleaded not guilty, he could face a death sentence if convicted. "action news" has learned a former south jersey resident was one of two victims killed at a florida gym. 33-year-old wilson shot and killed the general manager and the fitness manager before
