a.m. the shooter took off but police say they were able to track down what they are calling a person of interest. that person is speaking to detectives. the victim was wounded in the arm and chest and is hospitalized in stable condition. now to developing news. a 14-year-old is killed and another teen injured in a shooting in the city's port richmond section. police are still trying to figure out what sparked the gunfire. "action news" reporter jeanette reyes is live for us at police headquarters. jeanette. >> reporter: well, matt, at this hour still more questions than answers. one teen shot to death, another still at the hospital right now with wounds from that gunfire. police are sifting through evidence trying to track down to the killer but take a look at the images of the bloody scene left behind in the port richmond section at the intersection of frankford and oreland. police responded to the reports of gunfire. a 14-year-old boy was that found shot multiple times in the neck and back.

he was taken to saint christopher's hospital and initially listed in critical condition but later died from his injuries. police then found a 16-year-old victim. he was shot in the shoulder and is in stable condition at this hour. police have no suspects or a motive. anyone with information is asked to contact authorities. reporting live at the police headquarters, jeanette reyes channel6 "action news." tam. >> thank you for that. jury selection is expected to begin today in the child sexual abuse trial of lee kaplan. he's accused of sexually abusing six girls from the family of daniel and savilla stolfutz. some of the girls had been gifted to kaplan by the couple. they were found living in his feasterville home last summer. it's possible that kaplan will try for an insanity defense. and also happening today, the jury returns to a camden courtroom to decide if david creato killed his young son. jurors have been reviewing the evidence for three days now. outside the courthouse with more on what we might expect today. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam. that's right, jurors have been mulling over evidence, reviewing testimony. still no verdict in this case but deliberations will resume today here at the camden county hall of justice in camden. the jury got the case last tuesday after closing arguments and they met last on thursday, but they ended the day with no verdict. d.j. creato stands accused of killing his three-year-old son brendan back in october 2015 and prosecutors say that's because the boy got in the way of his relationship with his then-17-year-old girlfriend. the little boy's body was that found partially submerged in a creek in cooper river park about a half mile from his father's haddon township apartment. since deliberations began, jurors have requested to revisit several recordings including multiple viewings of creato's police interrogation on the day brendan's body was

found. this case is mainly circumstantial. there are no witnesses. there's no dna. there's no surveillance video linking creato to the crime. when jurors return today, they will revisit testimony from a county detective and a cell phone expert, both of those things that they're revisiting come at the request of the jury, so we'll see what happens today. "action news" will keep you posted on any of the latest developments. live in camden, katherine scott, channel6 "action news." >> katherine thank you for that. new this morning former dictator manuel noriega has died. he ruled the central american nation until 1983 until he was removed from power by the u.s. military in 1989. he spent 17 years in a u.s. prison for drug trafficking and money laundering. in december hawpe sent back to panama to serve 60 years in prison for murdering his opponents in that country. manuel noriega died after a brain hemorrhage. he was 83. >> time now is 5:36 and president trump is defending his son-in-law jared kushner.

sources tell abc news kushner tried to create a secret communication channel with moscow. the president sent a statement to the new york times yesterday saying jared is is doing a great job for the country. i have total confidence in him. he is respected by virtue wiehle everyone. the fbi says kushner is not a target of the investigation but agents do want to talk with him about those communications. lawmakers in texas had heated exchanges over the state's tough new anti-sanctuary cities law a yesterday during last day of the legislature's regular session, hundreds of protesters packed the capitol rotunda in austin to protest the new law. tensions ran even higher when republican representative matt rinaldi told democrats that he called immigration officials on the protesters. rinaldi says he was then threatened by another legislator. >> ♪ >> happening today, rocky balboa is splitting the scene. the iconic rocky statue at the art museum steps is being

removed. it's only temporary. the landmark is going to undergo renovations. the area around the statue space near the steps of the museum of art is going to be blocked off today. parks and recreation workers say the statue will be back in two weeks and it feels like that's about how long it's going to be before we see the sun. [laughter] >> is that true? >> no, you'll see sunshine tomorrow. i don't think you'll see a lot of sun today but you're right that it feels so unsettled especially after yesterday. it was our cool left memorial day in 14 years. today temperatures will be just a touch better than than that a. storm tracker six showing we're mostly dry. a few showers just southwest of dover. they may be clipping dover in the next hour or so much i think they'll hit cape may later this morning and a few showers that are well out to the north and west in central pennsylvania. let's go on outside right now and show you what it looks like as sky6 looks live at philadelphia international airport. we've got a touch of patchy fog in the area. but nothing right now at philadelphia. shouldn't have an issue as you fly out early this morning. the temperature is only 57 degrees, though.

the dewpoint 53. the pressure's currently holding steady. the winds are out of the east-southeast they're pretty light at 5 miles an hour. the ocean temperature only 60 degrees. satellite6 and action radar showing we're really stuck in the clouds today. you can see the batch of showers that are mostly moving south of the area. we're watching for our southern zone to get clipped just a little bit in southern delaware and southern new jersey with a quick shower. it's not very wet today. we see the front still out to our west. we could see a shower or a thunderstorm firing up especially later on in the afternoon. future tracker showing at 1 o'clock, one or two showers trying to form at 4 o'clock, we see a shower here or there. not everybody gets this. it's not terribly wet today. later this evening and tonight a few showers or thunderstorms try to push through as well. so, a few spots will see a shower or a thunderstorm but predominantly it's just a day with lots of clouds and temperatures more than 10 degrees below average. a high today of only 67. a little patchy fog at 8 o'clock, 58 degrees. by 10:00 a.m., it's about 61. you may see a peek of sunshine or two but not a whole lot.

corner toll plaza as you head up towards christiana. watch out for it and congestion that may be resulting. tam. >> thank you, matt. investigators are in great britain are asking the public for help as they continue to investigate the deadly manchester bombing. british police put out a new photo of suicide bomber salman abedi. the imnewimage was taken days before he bombed an ariana grande concert last week. the blue suitcase in the picture however was not part of the attack. and last night hundreds gathered at what is known as saint ann's square to remember the 22 people who were killed in that attack. and happening today, the suspect in the deadly train attack in oregon is expected to appear before a judge. police say 35-year-old jeremy christian stabbed two men to death on a train in portland on friday. this happened when they tried to stop christian from verbally assaulting a muslim woman and her friend. another man who also stepped in was seriously injured. investigators say cell phone video shows christian going on a racist tirade just a day

>> police are looking for three people involved in a home invasion in southwest philadelphia. investigators say an intruder walked into the front door of the home on the 6000 block of kingsessing avenue yesterday evening. once inside that person opened the back door and let a second person in. the homeowner was inside during the entire ordeal and called police. a 30 person was acting as a lookout and alerted his accomplices before police arrived. all three were able to run off. >> police need your help finding two would be burglars who despite giving it everything they had couldn't break into a city in lawndale t this happened last month.
