we kick things off on this friday morning. >> a driver took off during a traffic stop in west philadelphia on the girard avenue exit ramp from the westbound schuylkill expressway at 1:00 a.m. police stopped the car following a report of a shooting nearby on the highway. the driver ran off before officers reached the vehicle. there have been no reports of any gunshot victims. happening today, decision will be made in two high profile penn state cases. in one, former university administrators are going to be sentenced in the sandusky scandal. current administrators will announce changes in the wake of a hazing death. katherine scott is live in the sat center with both stories. >> reporter: i'll start with sentencing day for the three former penn state administrators, prosecutors are calling for jail time for one of them, former president gram spanier, but his attorney is seeking probation.

five and a half years after the jerry sandusky story broke it's sentences day for gram spanier and tim curly and gary shultz. prosecutors say they covered up sandusky sexually abusing a boy in the football team shower. that led to sandusky abusing more boys. all three men were told the encounter was sexual. all three were charged with child endangerment for failing to report the allegations against sandusky. prosecutors seeking jail time for spanier who was convicted at a jury trial. the other two administrators pleaded guilty, prosecutors agreed they would not recommend sentences for them. penn state board of trustees is meeting to discuss significant changes to greek life four months after a fraternity hazing

ritual turned deadly for a pledge. fraternity members did not call 911 until 1 hours later. 18 penn state students are facing charges. the family wrote a letter to the board of trustees to do what is right and not what is popular to apiece an alumni. >> we need penn state to step up, they are one of the largest organizations in the country and they need to make changes and make a difference. >> reporter: that meeting will takes place at 1:00 p.m., they will be streaming it live online. philadelphia city councilman david oh talked about his terrifying ordeal outside his home in southwest philadelphia. he came home from the hospital

he was stabbed outside his house on the 5800 block of thomas oh, said a man a demanded his kt and stabbed side. a white car pulled up and two men recorded video of the incident. >> engineering shouting out and i think when they saw all the blood, because there was a lot blood, i think they got the idea this is not like -- we're in the middle of something else, so they took off. police are looking for the assailant, detectives are asking anyone with any information like the cell phone video call police. chester police are looking for a robber and kidnapper. four armed men confronted two shop keeping at their home on toht avenue monday night. they attacked the victims and drove them to coatsville where they gained entry to two

separate shops where the victims worked. the men robbed the shops and took off. the judge in the bill cosby sexual assault case will wait until the jury is sworn in before issuing final rulings about what can be and cannot be used. prosecutors intend to use past statements from cosby about using quaahludes to seduce women.
