man on his way from work. the victim got off the bus at 56th and market at 2:30 a.m. he was walking to the house when the shooter approached him shooting once into his chest. the victim managed to walk to his nearby home and call 911. the man is hospitalized with critical injuries. 7:03 a.m., 15 heart-stopping seconds that's some people are describing the turbulence that rattled them on a flight to philadelphia. ten people on board had to be taken to the hospital when the plane landed. trish hartman talked to passengers about the nerve wracking moments in the air. >> reporter: will listening to air control clearing american airlines flight 759 to land you would never know about the violent turbulence. passengers fresh off the flight said the turbulence lasted 15
seconds as drinks were being served. >> it started shaking and took a drop. baby screaming people in front of us hitting the ceiling. there was a little bit of blood, they said it was turbulence, they said it wasn't on the radar. >> the plane dropped, a flight attendant, i think she was pushing the cart she was in the aisle and she fall over and the cart fall over her. >> reporter: officials say the plane landed saiferl -- safely at 3:10 p.m. ten crews were taken to hospital. that passenger's wife was tweeting about the experience. turbulence was so insane and unexpected a flight attendant dislocated her shoulder. they just handed out drinks, this plane i'm on is soaked, they will be hosing it out for
hours. fire commissioner tweeted the response. several passengers we spoke with praised american airlines with the crew on board and the airline's response after it happened. the faa said it will be investigating the incident. reporting at philadelphia international airport, trish hartman channel 6 "action news." >> president donald trump is applauding a new round of economic sanctions against north korea the latest fallout from the recent nuclear test. he tweeted united nation security council voted 125-0 to sanction north korea. china and russia voted with us a big financial impact. china foreign minister called on all sides to go back to the bargaining table. u.s. secretary of state rex tillerson said he is willing to talk to north korea only if it retreats from maintaining
nuclear weapons. this morning the cloud from the russian election meddling investigation continues to hang over the white house as president donald trump spends a few weeks away from washington. david wright is following the story. >> reporter: day one of the president's 17 day working vacation at his luxury golfer resort in new jersey, with the special counsel investigating russian meddling is apparently not taking a break. the new york times report that the essential counsel investigators requested documents from the white house related to former national security advisor michael flynn and question whether the turkey issue government secretly paid flynn for lobbying work. one of the russian officials flynn met with former ambassador defended flynn on a russian tv panel saying his talks with transparent focused on u.s.
russian relations and never discussed punitive sanctions. while the president is away the construction workers start $3.5 million of the west wing. the oval office being refurbished the walls bare the floors will be refinished. buildings heating and air-conditioning is being replaced. white house officials say it made sense for the president to decamp for what's being called a working vacation. over the years, he did he -- denigrated barack obama for faking time off. this is trump's first full vacation, but he made 12 trips to own resorts 7 to florida and five to his golf course in new jersey. david wright abc news bedminster. the president denied he is on vacation, he said he is working in bedminster, new

with front end damage. action cam was at the scene of the playground in the olney section of the city. shooter opened fire the 23-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with a bullet wound in the right hip. one of the bullets hit the drivers side door of a car. no arrests and no motive. delaware county authorities say they are closing in on a suspected killer. since we first brought you news of the shooting we have learned one of the three people who was shot is a teenager. bob brooks has more. >> reporter: police say this man is a killer. caught on tape just before he would leave this chinese restaurant on the corner of walnut and 4th in colwyn borough. investigators say shortly after he left he would open fire, shooting three and killing two, 16 and 20-year-old males.

catch the shooter soon they believe they have those responsible narrowed down. >> all the individuals are from the colwyn area, colwyn darby. there was another person shot a 15-year-old struck in the arm, expected to make a full recovery. bob be channel 6 "action news." >> there were -- bob brooks channel 6 "action news." >> there were terrifying movements for passengers on a plane to philadelphia coming from greece. it landed safely at philadelphia international airport yesterday afternoon about an hour and a half after the incidents. passengers say flight attendants were serving drinks when the plane started to shake and dropped. three passengers and seven crew members were injured. this morning faa is investigating. efforts to rescue three missing marines at sea we have
learned it's a recovery mission. the marines were on a bored a military aircraft that crash landed on australia's east coast saturday morning. 23 other marines were rescued. the cause of the crash is under investigation. president trump is singing a different tune when it comes to attorney general jeff sessions. yesterday he praised him for cracking down on leaks. he tweeted after many leaks going on in washington it's great to see the ag take action for national security. the tougher the better. he pressed session to address government leaks. the tweet was a sharp departure from the critical comments about sessions and the justice department in recent weeks. most evacuees have returned home following a fiery derailment near johnstown pennsylvania. some of the cars containing propane and sulphur caught fire.
most of the evacuation zone is deemed to be safe, but dozens of homeowners are displaced a bit longer. storms flooded new orleans with 8 inches of rain. on some streets the water was 3 feet deep. the entire city was under a flash flood warning until late last night. this is the second storm in two weeks to cause serious flooding in the big easy. in los vegas nevada emergency crews had to pull people from swifting moving floodwaters there. it took several hours before the water receded in some of the areas making the roads passable again. >> gm is recalling 700,000 pickup trucks involve silver ado and sierra pickup trucks. they have a software problem
that could cause them to lose power steering for a second. owners should take their trucks to a dealer to receive a free software upgrade. a 16-year-old eagle scout from new castle county is making 3d prosthetic for kids. >> reporter: austin got the idea after meeting a teenager who was missing a hand. he learned that prosthetics are not covered by insurance. >> they will cover only one hand even as they continue to grow. >> reporter: now lynn and volunteers from the scout troop put them together.

>> from paris to philadelphia, the barnes foundation has an exhibition that features a french artist that features african-american horse riders in philadelphia. david murphy has 6abc loves the arts. >> reporter: it's called urban riders an exhibition that has drawn acclaim in paris, frankford and amsterdam. now the works are here. a french algerian artist known for his work showcasing margal liced -- marginalized communities. he worked with the fletcher street urban riding club and created a body of 85 works. >> we have drawings.
>> reporter: the largest by far is a mural relief made of french car parts with photos of philadelphia. >> it's an urban experience when you work in the city -- >> reporter: the arrestist organized a horse riding competition that became the basis for a short film that's part of the exhibition. >> they are projected on two different walls. >> reporter: both the horses and riders dressed in costume designed by local artists. as a muslim immigrant living on the outskirts of paris, he shows stereotypes based on economic class and race. urban rider is on display through october 2. for 6abc loves the arts i'm
