parkway. out to the west you see a little bit of rain beginning to form, maybe mixing southwest of wilmington and out by lancaster it's hard to see but there is a little bit of gray showing up to the west of lancaster and reading as well. that's going to be the second round that comes in probably around 7, 8 o'clock this morning in those northern and western areas. temperatures fortunately across most of the region are a little above freezing. 34 in philadelphia. we did get a little bit that of rain and wet snow earlier. 35 in wilmington. 32 the freezing mark in allentown and 33 in reading, though and the farther north and west you go as that second round of snow comes in later this morning, the better chance you have of seeing slippery road conditions so keep your eyes out up there for that temperature on your dashboard thermometer and especially in upper elevations, slippery conditions out there this morning. later on today, though, we're expecting just about everybody to get above freezing and we should have less of a problem. so, overall what to expect. periods of light snow today, a coating to 2-inches is roughly what we're looking for across the region. roads mainly wet but slippery north and west this morning that would be possible. here's where the numbers go.

view you can see how the snow is affecting the garden state parkway and we might be on our way to a couple of inches or more right in those areas where you see the brighter shade of white. in ocean county, burlington county and maybe down toward the southern and northeastern tip i should say of atlantic county and earlier some of this did actually pop through philadelphia so your roads here are wet. the good news is most of the area is above freezing right now. now, there is that second little band of precipitation beginning to show up on the radar. you see that gray out to the west of reading and now pushing in toward lancaster and coatesville. this is going to build and be another batch of snow that comes in from the west and i do have a concern that the northern and western suburbs, particularly in the upper elevations up here, higher on hill tops and what have you could freeze up on the roads for at least a time this morning before temperatures rise later. stepping outside we have cloudy skies across the region it is damp even where it isn't actively precipitating right now so a little bit of extra caution on the road is a good
