you, 7:00 a.m., saturday morning, nydia han joins us this morning, great to have you. >> nice to be here. >> here's a look at the stories we're following for you. ♪ that eagles chant echos through philadelphia international as lucky fans head to minneapolis. >> the birds last practice before the super bowl is now in the books. nick foles and team have just one more day before they take on the patriots. >> of course, the city is ready and eager for a big win. boathouse row is one of the many landscapes lit up in green in celebration of the eagles achievement this season. >> first let's get the accuweather forecast for the super bowl parties, chris. >> reporter: it's going to be rain and dreary, most of us will be indoors anyway, and it is not

snow. there will be slick spots when the rain is coming down, no icy conditions. a 15 in buffalo. 13 in pittsburgh. remember this same time yesterday the temperatures were in the upper 30s, we were falling a cold front came through, brought the gusty winds in, now the cold air is sitting over top of us, we're pretty much in the teens the whole way through. north and west, it's 12 in slatington and kutztown, 6 in lake harmony. quakertown, 12. warminster, 14. kirkwood 14. media, 13 degrees, vineland, 11. hammonton 12. gusty winds have subsided, there's still a bit of a breeze, but not nearly as gusty as yesterday. windchills are five to 6 degrees colder. clouds approach from the west, a dry day sunshine fading behind increasing clouds this

afternoon. that's the call from accuweather. shooting for a high of 34. with the breeze not as strong as yesterday, it will feel more like the 20s. that's today at weather. when i come back in just a few minutes we'll focus what's growing to happen tomorrow. there's another system we're watching for the middle of next week. that, too, looks like more rain. i'll have the details in about ten minutes. >> we'll take the rain. >> the final preparations being made at u.s. bank stadium in minneapolis, we're just a little more than one day away from super bowl 52. the eagles take on the patriots and hopefully bring home the first-ever vince lombardi trophy. it was not hard to spot the folks at the super bowl bound gate b9 last night. it sounded like a tailgate party. american airlines flight 1923 had an underdog on board. fans say this is just an incredible experience.

investigating a late-night shooting at a bar if west philadelphia. it happened at the west side tavern at 60th and market after 10:00 p.m. heavy police presence could be seen inside. no word on the condition of victim or what led to the gunfire. 7:09 a.m. firefighters are trying to determine what caused a fire that spread to two homes before it was eventually contained. chopper 6 hd above the scene in west philadelphia last night.

the fire started on the 2000 block of south simpson street at 10:30. it spread to two homes before firefighters got the upper hand on this. no injuries were reported. chopper 6 hd above a fire in norristown montgomery county. it took two hours to get the fire under control on the 500 block of george street. no injuries in this fire, either. investigators are trying to find out what caused it. broad street run is scheduled for may 6. it's so popular you need to enter a lottery to get in. 40,000 runners selected for the race will be posted on february 20. >> let's get you caught up on the forecast with the man himself, meteorologist chris sowers. >> reporter: you know how much i love the snow, it's probably better we get the rain tomorrow and not the snow. it's easier to get around. let's go over to the weather

poconos the temperatures are in the 20s, windchills in the single digits and teens. sunshine fading behind increasing clouds thanks to this approaching low which will drop one to three inches of snow on minneapolis this afternoon. if you're flying out there, there could delays that will extend south into chicago. the system increases clouds today. sunday, the rain starts overspreading the area with snow in the poconos. we were talking about earlier in the broadcast. over the next week to ten days, we have a series of storms that will cut west into the great lakes. the first one arrives tomorrow. this is all mild air with a track like this this is all rain. as we head into next week, wednesday, the storm develops down here, this, too, will cut west into the great lakes. that means more mild air. what we're seeing the overall weather pattern for the next week to ten days, we'll get cold days thrown in here and there, but as the storms start traffickerring across the -- traveling across the country it

the cheapest ticket to get inside $3,100. can imagine keeping everybody safe from the fans to the players is a tough job. sharrie williams takes a look at what's being used to insure safety at super bowl lii. >> this is basically a large x-ray device on wheels. >> reporter: this large contraption is used to inspect vehicles and containers. it's parts of an elaborate screening system set up on the minneapolis fair grounds. everything that goes inside the stadium must go through here first. customs and border protection officer explains how the hitech piece of equipment works. >> the driver will make a pass along the vehicles that go through here, they will show the images of what's inside the vehicle so make sure there is
