go through the morning and afternoon. we had a concern they could be down to the lehigh valley. now they will barely clip the poconos. karen, milder for the weekend, we have rain arriving i'll have that coming up in the next turn in the weather. >> reporter: it's dry this morning, you may see a slick spot or two. we have an accident on the schuylkill expressway eastbound at girard. as we watch this truck merge you can see the issue we've got right there. the schuylkill expressway eastbound at girard, the ramp is partially blocked. it's creating a little bit of a problem on the schuylkill expressway. as you look at the speeds, overall it's not impacting it. light volume to start you off. all of the closures from yesterday have been lifted. if you had a bit of a tough time traveling around, today would be different. lime kiln pike is shut down between jenkintown road and beechwood avenue. avoid lime kiln pike shut down in glenside, montgomery county.

i-95 southbound traffic approaching cottman, at this point moving just fine, matt and tam. >> it is a day we'll never forget. ♪ many are deliriously joyful. >> the super bowl championship parade that philadelphia has dreamed about for decades. it is a reality. it was a sea of green from south philadelphia to the art museum as hundreds of thousands of fans lined the streets and packed the area from love park to eakins oval in order to see the super bowl champions. a recall on the steps where the players showed off the lombardi trophy. >> lucky fans got to interact with the giddy players on the parade route. they got out of the buses and got up close with the fans, it seemed like they were having as much fun as the spectators. >> the players and coach doug pederson understand what the win means for the city. >> nothing better, you can feel it, we were all kind of living

street sweepers out this morning, they got the streets cleared of course cars can drive in and out, but there is a press conference at 11:30 a.m. they will give an assessment of the events we'll cover it and pass along information. >> back to you guys. >> the hundreds of thousands of people in attends there was one serious medical emergency reported a man in his 20s was stabbed in the chest and taken to hanheman university hospital in critical condition. the medical tents treated minor injuries or alcohol intoxication. other injuries involved people being hit by flying beer cans and falling off poles and trees. chopper 6 hd caught part of the mass exodus that came. many avoided public transportation. there was a traffic jam of pedestrians walking over the blim over to new jersey -- ben

nasdaq in time square with a little bit more information to tell you out. good morning, maribel. >> stock also plunged yesterday the dow tumbling into corrections. blue chips are down 10% that's a correction from the all time highs. the dow lost 1032 to dropped 4.2%. nasdaq fell as investors worry about higher interest rates and inflation. we have retail trade due out today. get ready for higher cell phone bills. t-mobile and sprint will cutback on discounts that comes after talks of the merger broke down. sprint won't be as aggressive when promotional offers expire because they believe the quality of their service is improving. >> we hope you're basking in the fly eagles fly win. >> we have a little bit of

gets windier, but 6 to 12 that's nothing. you'll see increasing clouds as we go through the day. snow showers are possible, yesterday we were thinking the lehigh valley might get some, even in the poconos you get a brief clip of that. it's in northeastern pennsylvania you'll see that today. mostly cloudy an chilly. not much of a windchill to worry about, but coats need. in philadelphia, increasing clouds, chilly, 39 degrees. winds out of the south at 6 to 12 miles per hour. not really that much of a factor. overnight tonight, interesting things going on. lots of clouds, it will be milder than the past overnight. the overnight low, 36 that's probably going to be around midnight or so. i expect the numbers to gradually push up toward the morning. some areas could be in the 40s by the time you get up in the morning because of the southwest

flow you see there. it draws all the milder air into play. this afternoon we stay milder, 51 degrees, you will see a frontal boundary with waves of low pressure riding along it. this stubborn guy will be in the vicinity all weekend long. this low will come in the afternoon and evening and bring in some rain, probably light to moderate saturday afternoon when it initially comes in. saturday night it could be getting steadier. sunday, early in the morning, 5:00 a.m., you can see most of the area is fairly well anne at times get chunks of heavy downpours soaking variety rain. that's a possibility of whenever that hits of course you'll get the ponding and puddling on the roadways. during the afternoon not much rain around, 7:00 you could still see rain around. in the evening hours sunday it still wet. i think it's off the coast in time for the morning commute. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, today's high, 39. increasing clouds. tomorrow, milder, 51. afternoon and evening rain

it's partially blocking the off-ramp. traffic is getting by, when we had a truck coming through we had a tough time merging there, watch for this on the schuylkill expressway eastbound at girard. checking other areas we have an accident in glenside. we have new information coming in. it's involving a downed pole and wires. they had to close the road. stick to jenkintown road as the alternate. new in new field we have a gas main break grub road at delsea drive. stick to west boulevard for that one. just in the teens right now as you travel in quakertown and pottstown, 20 degrees right now in malvern. it's 25 in center city. 19 degrees in media. it's 19 in browns mills and 21 degrees in smyrna, delaware as you head out. it's a very cold start to the day, and causing problems. i'm having issues with my ipad.

home caught fire in belair last night. 80 firefighters were on the scene to douse the flames. one firefighter got burns on his face. this is amateur sketch picture from a witness that helped identify a theft suspect. police say he stole cash from a stand at a farmers mark. it's cartoonish, but it reminded a an investigator of a potential suspect. they showed the suspect to the witness he said that's the guy. >> reporter: facebook is testing a down vote button it's for feedback on comments that users find offensive and misleading. twitter has turned a profit for the first time in their 12 year history. twitter ceo said users are not

everybody. people had a tough time commuting around even though they were happy and patient bit. this is i-95 northbound at the betsy ross bridge. a disabled vehicle mostly off to the side. somebody trying to help him with the tire there. a vehicle fire, this is new coming in, chester syringes chester county, pottstown pike at cedar lane. it occurred after a vehicle ran into a telephone pole. i'm worried about some slick

to center city grabbing a bus, but there's not as much wind this morning, so we don't have to worry about windchills. increasing clouds, high of 39 degrees. not as windy as yesterday, so you need to bundle up for the numbers, but not as much as yesterday, probably. 37 degrees by 5:00 a.m. notice how by 7:00 we hold that. we'll stay at 37, 36 all the way up to midnight and see the temperatures rise in the overnight hours. it will be milder for the weekend. in terms of snow showers yesterday we had a concern that some of them might dip boo the northern suburbs in the lehigh valley, but there's hardly anything in the peculiars at this -- poconos at this point. looks like low impact. rain on the way, details ahead. >> reporter: we're checking the schuylkill expressway eastbound at girard avenue. we had an accident that was partially blocking that ramp. traffic is slow in that area. on the big picture we're seeing speeds of 29 miles per hour the accident just cleared. you can see we're moving better,

rand paul over objections to the trillion dollar price tag. a vote was held in the senate at 2:00 a.m., and 5:30 a.m. passing the measure and again it is expected to get to the president's desk shortly this morning. >> 6:37 a.m. new this morning, one person was killed in a crash in chester county. the driver lost control and slammed into a pole at buck run and stroudsburg road in fallow field township last night. one person was killed a second person was injured. the accident is under investigation. it took an hour to contain heavy flames shooting from a housing fire in bustleton section of philadelphia. it broke out on the 1900 block of morrell street last night. no injuries were report -89d. >> -- reported. >> it's a weekend for an umbrella. >> reporter: the rain drops start on saturday and come down
