school property. on the military watch -- an f-16 "fighting falcon" jet crashed near luke air force in phoenix arizona -- according to u-s air force officials. it happened just before nine this morning. this is a picture of a f-16 jet but not the one that crashed. officials say the cause of the crash is unknown and the condition of the pilot is also unknown. a helicopter was sent to the crash site but has not found anything yet according to the u-s air force. officials say the jet is assigned to the 56th fighter wing. a woman named kathryn smith has made pro football history. the buffalo bills hired her as its special teams quality control coach, making her the first woman to be a full-time assistant coach in the n-f-l. elaine quijano has more. historically, the n-f-l coaching ranks have been one of the biggest boys club s on the block -- but the buffalo bills are changing that. nats bills/jets or bills/redskins narr 2 late wednesday, the bills announced that they had promoted kathryn smith to quality control special teams coach, making her

a young fire survivor in upstate new york is making a big mark literally around the world. 8-year- old safyre terry lost her family in the fire -- you may remember the little girl asked to get christmas cards for christmas. as teresa weakley reports, she )s now opening hundreds of cards. natsot: "this is from taiwan." like any 8-year-old, safyre terry enjoys opening presents. she has mountains of them, after she asked fro christmas cards in early december. liz dolden, safyre )s aunt : "we don t want people to pity her, she s encouraging,

we anticipate the heavy wet snow could result in downed trees and disrupted power lines with the potential for considerable power outages.but the reach of this storm is massive. tens of million of people from the southeast to new england could be spending the weekend snowed in. in washington, dianne gallagher reporting. customers and health officials are demanding answers. after someone took a picture of a dead deer being taken to a chinese restaurant in north carolina. the roadkill was then butchered behind the eatery. reporter joe bruno spoke to the restaurant )s manager. joe bruno/reporting "why did you bring roadkill to the restaurant?" we caught sunny chen, the manager of china fun, as he was heading inside. one day after a viewer sent us these photos of him bringing a dead deer from the side of the road to his restaurant! sunny chen/manager, china fun restaurant "i just try to cook it, eat it by myself, not for sale." joe bruno/reporting "you were going to eat the

going to serve it to customers?" suny chen/manager, china fun restaurant "no." according to the health inspector, chen slaughtered the deer outside in the parking lot but brought parts inside and placed them in the sink. but china fun remains open because the health department says there was no cross contamination.. and absolutely no evidence it would be served to customers. jo bruno/reporting "the health inspector s been here before we found dozens of other violations over the past five years including roaches in the restaurant." according to health records... this past july and in august 2014 inspectors found roaches inside. in july 2012, health officials found mold in the ice machine and in september 2011 an employee didn )t wash their hands immediately after handling raw chicken. right now the restaurant has an a-rating. chen shrugged his shoulders after we asked about past violations. but he invited us into his kitchen to see how his cooks work. he showed us the sink he put the roadkill in and says he wants to apologize to all of his customers sunny

we )ve all been there, out for a-p&meal out, when a child loses it.-6 year old elliot had one of those moments, his mother says it was an autistic meltdown. mom says, just after we ordered our food, he just spiraled into a complete autistic meltdown 614 yelling and screaming it )s a temper tantrum on a whole another level elliot is used to routine, but the restaurant was packed, noisey and he couldn t get his usually table, all triggers. i started to get looks like as we often do when we have a meltdown when the returned to the diner, something happened that floored lauren, a patron not only paid her tab, but on the back left this sweet note, that )s now gone viral. lauren says, it says have a great day you re dong a wonderful job, god bless face from, a mother who knows lauren was overcome with emotion, someone who gets it. i started crying, the owner started crying,we start huggin, elliot was like hey mom lets go, laughs cyndi moody says it was just a sweet moment, she didn )t know her, we dont know her she )s not a regular and she just really felt for lauren and thought she was doing a really good job and

we are not the only ones preparing for a massive winter storm -- pennsylvania is too. the system is expected to impact travel, with slick, icy roads. so pennsylvania officials are introducing a new app to help drivers track snowplows to find out which roads are clear. amanda vanallen reports. gearing up and getting ready ahead of a possible storm this weekend. rick stone, berks county penndot equipment manager "just like any other storm we are prepping all of the equipment going over last minute touches.

federal investigators are looking to see if a university professor at kent state university has any connection to isis. the professor has not been charged with anything yet -- and the university is assuring student there is no threat to campus. bob jones has more. cleveland, ohio - a kent state professor is under investigation by the fbi, a university spokesperson said tuesday. julio pino, an associate professor of history, has been under investigation for a year and a half for alleged ties to isis, kentwired.com reported. newsnet5.com is told that pino is still teaching during the investigation because he is a tenured professor. pino s wife answered the door at his kent home and told newsnet5.com that he has no comment. emily mills, editor for the kent stater, initially broke the story because she was approached and interviewed by the fbi because of past stories
