hillary clinton bernie sanders thanks - margaret. now let s head to virginia beach - where newschannel three s erica-p&greenway is speaking to voters there. erica - some voters are being asked to sign a petition concerning light rail. volunteers are set up at about half the polling locations across the city. they )re hoping to get enough signatures to put the issue of light rail on the november ballot. nats - one by one -- steve miyares is collecting signatures -- hoping to get enough to put the issue of light rail on the november ballot. he )s one of about 30 or more volunteers set up at polling locations across the city. sot from steve the question they want to see on the ballot --- should city council use local funds to bring light rail to virginia beach? sot although the group behind the petition opposes light rail -- people both for or against the project can sign it. miyares says he )s had both at his location outside college park elementary.

a day after flames destroy the middlesex county marina killing two people - a community copes with the loss. newschannnel 3 )s gabriella deluca is back in urbanna tonight - investigation. show damage. we talked to a lot of people who came into town today to just see the damage -- loss to the community, theyre confident the town will rebuild. smoke still rises from the water in urbanna -- where whats left of a marina and almost two yesterday s massive fire. the flames also killed two people -- and police say the cause of the fire -- arson. this is

right now - virginia beach police are investigating a deadly crash involving an e-m-s vehicle. officials tell newschannel three -- 88-year- old doris baxter - a passenger in another car - died from her injuries. we )re told 31- year-old brigade chief jeffrey brennaman - was driving the e-m-s vehicle when he hit the car around nine this morning. the crash happened at lynnhaven parkway and north mall drive. the driver of the car - was hurt - but is expected to be okay. police tell us - brennaman has since been placed on administrative duties. virginia beach police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them. hours earlier in newport news - a fire department ambulance collided with a truck sending several people to the hospital. this accident happened around one this morning on warwick boulevard. officials say a truck tried to make a turn directly in front of the ambulance. this caused the medic unit to crash into the median. both medics and a patient were taken to the hospital - but were later released. the driver of the truck was not hurt but police did charge him with reckless driving. coming up on newschannel

on the military watch-- volunteers in chesapeake are lending a helping hand to local veterans. they )re making sure the vets get the legal help they need. a free legal clinic was set up at the tidewater community college campus in chesapeake. the event provided estate planning services to low- income veterans. volunteer attorneys helped draft wills and advance medical directives. they say this is a great way for them to give back. mark herring/attorney general of virginia the attorney general )s office says more free clinics are coming to the commonwealth.
