70...typical for june 1st.. clouds increase tonight with the next storm system bringing showers well after midnight, and temps remaining in the lower 50s. a massive explosion has rocked a crucial gas pipeline in alabama. the deadly blast happened not far from a major rupture a few weeks ago. one worker is confirmed dead. as gabe gutierrez reports-- the explosion is leading to fears of yet another spike in gas prices for a large part of the country. "oh my god it's growing so fast..."this morning.. authorities in alabama are scrambling to find out how much this massive explosion might impact the nation's gas supply.the blast sending

" i thou garner was among the first on the scene...and saw one worker...covered in flames. we picked up one man that was working down there and brought him up here and washed the gas off of him, sent him to the hospital the explosion happened just miles from the site of a pipeline ?leak? just a few weeks ago.?that? incident caused gas shortages....and sent pump prices soaring across the southeast.the line stretches from texas to new york harbor.. supplying 40-percent of the east coast's fuel.
