now at 4:30...reshaping milwaukee's lakefront.the city asking for help on what to do with one of the city's most valuable pieces of property. yo have a say in what milwaukee does with a stretch of its lake front. the area in question is called the harbor district... just north of bay view. pete zervakis explains the effort to bring new life to it... and how the public can weigh in... this lake-front end of greenfield avenue could soon become a park or public plaza. it's part of the group "harbor district inc's" plan to revive this area. you come down here to the end of greenfield ave. and it's hard to not see a lot

third ward... east of walker's point... north of bay view. what was once a vibrant port... is now known for run down or abandoned properties. some are environmentally contaminated. we've kind of gradually seen industry move out and land fall into disrepair or disuse the city and harbor district inc. are now taking input - through an online survey - about how to best breathe new life into this area. those surveys will be used ra development plan for the harbor district. lilith fowler - harbor district's executive director - wants the public excited about the future. but notes this isn't a quick fix type of project. i think it's prob. a 20 year process harbor dist. incoroporated hopes to have its development plan finalized by next summer. near first and greenfield, pz, tmj4 fowler hopes most people will

student leaders at u-w madison are condemning university officials response to a man who wore a racist costume to a badgers football game.you can see the costume in the video. it appears to be president obama with a noose around his neck.security told the man to change his costume or leave the game.university officials defended the security's staff decision not to throw the man out given freedom of speech concerns.student leaders are demanding an apology from

"he would hit especially hard...51 percent of single parents would see their taxes go up." politifact checked trump's tax proposal....which come tax brackets to be ral reduced to thre while raising the standard deduction and other doing away with other deductions. trump's plan would in theory cut taxes across all incomes....but tax analysts say it's more complicated. t proposal would eliminate personal exemptions like child tax credits, meaning single parents in many cases could end up with a highetax burden under trump's plan. a left-leanintax policy group said the plan could affect around 51 percent of single parent households....and a seperate free-market group found no faults with thier math....so politifact rates this statement ?true?trump meanwhile is claiming that he has tremendous support from

tremendous support from women. tremendous support." trump saying in jacksonville that women are overwhelmingly supporting him. politifact took a look at the most recent polls, and found that women generally tend to favor hillary clinton over trump by double digits, though the margins are tightening. trump is leading with white women without college degrees and republican women.... but polls show him carrying a percentage of the female vote than previous republican candidates like george w. bush or mitt romney. it's hard to say trump is doing 'tremendous' with women voters when he's polling lower than past republicans.....leading politifact to rate this claim as ?false? one of the iowa police ofrs kill in an ambush-style attack was laid to rest today.more than 1,000 fellow officers attended the funeral of des moines police sergeant anthony beminio.the other officer killed in the attack, justin martin, will be buried tomorrow.the suspect, michael greene, is in custody facing murder arges. federal election monitors are being sent to 28 states including here in wisconsin. they're helping enforce voters rights tomorrow.the justice department says more monitors will be on the ground in nearly 70 jurisdictions across the country.however... local officials have first responsibility to respond to any issues of violence or intimidation at polling places.

the breaking news: a woman stru and killed on milwaukee's south side.rebecca klopf is live at 60th and norwich. what happened? police are investigating after a woman was killed crossing the street.i'm here on 60th avenue. you can see the black audi behind me that struck the woman.the front window on the passenger side is shattered. there is damage to the this is a very residential area. greenfield high school is just a few blocks away. police are still investigating this crash. a county bus driver witnessed the whole thing and might even have video of it. the medical examiner says an autopsy will be done tomorrow. reporting live on the southwest side rebecca klopf today's tmjy4.

if you have a political t shirt of political button or anything that's promoting one of the candidates or one of the political parties on the ballot you're not going to want to wear that into the voting room on election day 22:13 the city of milwaukee election commission says thats all considered electioneering -- something you can't do within 100 feet of any polling location entrance. but you also can't take any photos -- even while you're waiting in li. if you're in line you're really alread inside the voting area even if that line extends beyond the voting room so no don't even bring out your camera that means no selfies -- and no photos of your ballot. it's actually illegal in wisconsin to do so. the wisconsin department of justice will have election integrity teams deployed across the state tomorrow -- to monitor polling sites for violations. we want people to be able to access their voting sites we want
