employers who are trying to fill job openings. we're talking about apprenticeships. and today marks the begining of national apprenticeship week . ann sterling is live with more. apprenticeships use an "earn and learn" training model --- it combines paid on the job experience coupled with education and a lot of companies use this model including nwm governor walker is a strong supporter of the apprenticeship program. right now --- wisconsin's nationally recognized apprenticeship program has as many as 11 thousand apprentices -- in over 200 occupations across the state annually.in the u.s. there are currently more than 375 thouand apprentices working with 150 thousand last year, president obama established a goal of doubling

we haven't seen any snow yet... but this week is "winter awareness week" here in wisconsin. as many around the state will be taking road trips around the holidays... pete zervakis is live with what emergency officials want you to know. for starters wisconsin emergency management says: keep a safety supply kit in that means: a fl cables... non-perishable snacks... a couple blankets... and extra hats and gloves it's also good to have a small shovel... and a bag of sand or kitty litter to use for traction if you slide off the road onto any snow. according to wisconsin emergency management if you get stuck this winter... do not leave your vehicle. stay in the car... turn your dome light on if its at night to help draw attention. don't use your emergency flashers unless you see another vehicle

were reported.police believe the shooting stemmed from a possible confrontation between two people.but so far, police say no suspects have been arrested. at least three people are dead after a shooting in jacksonville, florida. investigators say four people--one man, two women and an infant--were shot inside a car and drove to a nearby fire station.a motive as well as the number of shooters remains under investigation. paris is marking one since terrorists targeted six locations across the city.the attacks left 130 people dead, and hundreds more wounded. france is commemorating the victims with plaques at the attack sites.
