a truck driver could be charged today with two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle for a weekend crash that left a father and his nine-year-old daughter dead.it happened saturday night at four mile and old farm roads in caledonia. police say 39- year-old kevin dalley was turning into his subdivision when his car was hit by a pick-up truck. dalley and his daughter, emily, were killed. his six-year-old daughter rosalee survived the crash. in a statement, the dalley famly says "we wish to express our gratitude to the individuals that stopped to help at the scene of the accident... the first responders from caledonia and surrounding areas... and the doctors and nurses at wheaton franciscan all saints hospital. we recognize that this tragedy touches the lives of more than just our family. we are grateful for all of the love and support we have received in these trying times" a fundraising site for the family has now raised over 30-

here's what's happening beyond wisconsin -a chicago police sergeant who fatally shot a 19-year-old man in the back during a foot chase last week has been stripped of his police powers.chicago's police superintendent says..... that's pending an independent review board's investigation. the sergeant reported .... the man pointed a gun at him twice. but police did not find a weapon and the man's relatives say he was not armed. protesters took to the streets in the nation's capitol... joining the opposition to the dakota pipeline.several activists held a slow-moving "water is life" march.they walked from the department of justice to the washington monument to rally for standing rock.demonstrators also spoke out against the treatment of the protesters in north dakota and linked the pipeline protests with other social justice movements. havana, cuba, is preparing to pay tribute to fidel castro.

the nine-day "gun-deer hunt" in wisconsin came to an end just after sundown sunday. early numbers show the kill is down anywhere from 10-to-20 percent from last year across most of the state. the meat manager at ray's butcher shop in greenfield counts on hunters bagging those bucks. it seems like weve seen less customers coming in the last few days all weve been doing and making our smoked sausage has been going 24/7 with the summer sausages and the sticks the final gun deer harvest numbers will come out tuesday. two building projects are underway at the university of wisconsin-oshkosh ---, but crews have yet to break ground on a third that officials originally expected to finish this month.construction of the intra--mural recreation field complex will now begin next year.the 6-point-4 million dollar complex includes a warm-up field.... and a "super" field. a dome will cover the super field from november through april ......that will allow for use
