it'sgetting a facelift. pete zervakis is live there with details on the upade. beginning today the flame on top of the 20-story gas light building will be powered with new, l-e-d technology. it'll mean the flame can burn in all different colors... patterns... and can even be animated to ?appear as though it's lit by gas. the new light will still do the same, old job it's serving as a weather beacon for milwaukee. the technology upgrade will link the flam with 11 weather stations around the city. then its light will coorespond with the coming forecast. for example: when it's gold - watch out for cold. red indicates warmer weather is coming. the flame will flicker when it expects rain or snow. an official lighting ceremony for the new flame will happen this evening here at the
