the winter cold.windshield wipers and battery.this weekends snow is expected to impact roads.remember when you see flashers -- slow down and move over a lane if possible before starting out weather -- remove the snow from the entire car so it doesn't blow onto your windshield or the windshields of other drivers. drive with your low-beam headlights.watch for icy surfaces on bridges and intersections, even when the rest of the road seems to b in good condition.never use cruise control if the roads are wet, slick or snow packed. remember, it takes longer to stop on icy and snow-covered roads.so give yourself extra time to maneuver. increase your following distance about 82 percent of last month's election ballots have now been re-counted. that's the latest word from wisconsin's elections commission about the recount effort. pete zervakis is live in waukesha to update the

the process of recounting ballots - and reporting the results - has hit the home stretch here in waukesha county. the same is true in milwaukee county... where the clerk says all ballots have now been counted. although according to the wisconsin elections commission... the recount efforts in both waukesha county and waukesha county remain "in process." so perhaps all the votes hasn't officially published the full results. the elections commission says 82 percent of votes across the state had been re-counted as of last night. you may remember that on election night republican donald trump defeated democrat hillary clinton by more than 22- thousand votes. clinton has so far picked up 61 votes. the state is hoping to have the recount done monday night.

president-elect donald trump's thank you tour -- is headed to wisconsin. both he and vice- president elect mike pence will stop through west allis at the wisconsin state fairgrounds next tuesday. the event starts at seven. doors open at four. a local group of girl scouts has a lofty goal- trying to help foster kids.the girls found out foster kids often have to take the clothes bags.these are the duffle bags two girl scout troops hope to buy for kids going into foster care.the girl scouts will decorate each duffle bag. they all come with a teddy bear, a blanket and a coloring book. 16.63.36 they told us that they have to carry their stuff in trash bags and we thought that's just heartbreaking for them to have to do that."the girls hope to raise one thousand one hundred dollars

beyond wisconsin - search and rescue efforts in indonesia's quake zone continue today.. after more than 100 people were killed and thousands left homeless. the six-point-five- magnitude quake toppled hundreds of buildings. a state of emergency already declared in the region.the quake was the biggest disaster to hit the area since a december 2004 earthquake and tsunami. vice president joe biden got a warm welcome when he landed in snowy canada. this was last night. he was honored with a state dinner hosted by canadian prime minister justin trudeau. today, biden meets with trudeau... on the agenda... climate change and what the trump administration will do about global as if running the united states isn't enough... president-elect donald trump wants to keep his day job on the reality show "the apprentice." n-b-c and trump's campaign say he will remain as an executive producer for the show, even after he becomes president.trump hosted the
