some drivetime. developing this morning at least three people are dead and several after strong storms and tornadoes rip to the gulf states. speemac jennifer it was a scary night. so many people affected by the storm. >> in some places homes and neighborhoods are barely recognizable. these storms went through parts of florida. a reported tornado tossed around cars and damaged most of this neighborhood. than 30 others hurt after a reported tornado tore through an rv park orleans. the storm swept and mangled down trees. at least at least 20 homes were also destroyed in the area. >> the wind picked up and before you knew it debris was

ted crews spent tuesday evening with caucus goers and did well with people who said values were important. we are learning new details about the death of supreme court justice antonin scalia. his doctor said he suffered from coronary artery disease, obesity and diabetes. sheriffs incident released late tuesday night says nothing appeared out of place where the justice was found dead in his west texas resort suite. rescuers have found the wreckage of a small plane that crashed after taking off from a popular tourist destination in nepal. all 23 people aboard the flight were killed. it was headed into a mountainous area in bad weather when it lost contract contact with airport controllers. police say the plane appeared to have flown directly into a mountain. two of the passengers were from china and kuwait the rest were from nepal. relatives are expected to arrive at the airport later while the search continues.

marijuana in florida. it appears it appears to fall stalled in the state senate. sen. bradley says anyone diagnosed with terminal illness should be able to use full strength marijuana. on tuesday bradley said the state has to be ready to implement the medical marijuana proposition on the november ballot. but the right to try act has already hit a few roadblocks. an amendment that would speed up the process of the medical back tax in 2014 is thousand 14 is still in court. right now florida over only allows people against tracking will meet outside temple terrace city hall. to oppose a bill of fast-track tracking for oil and gas in florida. the group floridians against tracking is hoping to get the attention of sen. tom tom lee so he voted no on the bill. you know every time there's construction on the roads in tampa bay it's a nightmare. it is about to happen again and is is expected to get worse.

on ulmerton road going west right past roosevelt boulevard. traffic is down to 25 miles an hour and of course we are getting into morning rush hour so no surprise there. sarasota and manatee county looking great and so far no accident. no delays either. you us 41 going south from university parkway to boniva road your drivetime is 18 minutes. i 75 very smooth sailing as you head south. even past university parkway not seeing a delay just yet. polk county looking great in lakeland. polk parkway little bit of a delay passing bartow road still from i4 to bartow road your drivetime is 10 minutes. if you're heading heading into tampa from work to polk parkway 275 your drivetime is just 15 minutes. let's take a live look at radar. here comes the rain. this is light rain here. these are the storms that are offshore.

this particular point. we are looking at some rain in parts of pascoe, hernando, and citrus county. this is very light but you us 19 from holiday up to hudson and then especially when you get from wiki watch in northward we will see rain moving into the crystal river area. i've track the leading edge of just the light rain and that there were about 6:28 am and further to the south will begin to pascoe northern parts of pinellas and even into you can see trinity and heritage springs area we have point. once you get north of tampa road there is light rain there. keystone by 6:17 a.m. over toward the pebble creek area by about 648 a.m. light rain will be moving in. when i have done here is storms offshore. by the time these get here

after 7:00 a.m. tampa about eight am-8 15 and sarasota little bit after that. but generally between 7:30 a.m. and 830 a.m. is when will see the strongest storms come through. we have a tornado watch in effect for pascoe, hernando, and citrus county. this is just a watch that is in effect until 10 am which means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form. not much rotation and storms offshore but there has been a little bit we will watch that very closely. you can see a lot of fog out there and we didn't see much either at the beach in clearwater either. so that's good news. the atmosphere is prime. low 70s with a couple of upper 60s out there right now , and it is windy. winds out of the south- southwest at - southwest of 15 - 25 miles an hour. kids at the busstop are going to need the rain gear today. this afternoon it will be dry

tornado touched down in four states, killing at least three people and hurting many more. jennifer titus has been on top jennifer, some people are even storms. >> correct, several people are tornadoes ripped through the gulf states. in some places homes and entire neighborhoods are barely recognizable. it is severe weather that has seven counties in the panhandle and the jacksonville school district closing school today. severe storms rip through parts of louisiana, mississippi, and florida yesterday. at least three. at least three people were killed, and many more injured. one of the hardest hit areas, condon, louisiana. two people were killed and 30 others injured in an rv park there. districts are closing their doors. they say they chose so because of the threat of high winds. but florida a&m and florida state are both open. if you have a student who goes

to check for a taste. donald trump is building momentum this morning. he is the winner of the nevada caucus. trump spent tuesday night at a caucus event in las vegas celebrating victory. 30 delegates are at stake in the state. sex marco rubio and ted crews are still in a close tie. an accused drunk driver was also going the wrong way is out of jail. a judge's order the man to stay sober. a sarasota county squad car camera captured the driver speeding up the breakdown lane of i 75. this driver was going as fast as 70 miles an hour at one point. the man did not break for the deputies. other deputy spotted him after he went the wrong way on county road 681 on ramp. investigators say 21-year-old the wrong way for at least least 6 miles.

here is your bridge update , we are starting to see those delays across the bay. especially on the howard franklin bridge. this is the end of the bridge getting off a tampa at tampa at the kennedy airport exit. a little past this you are seeing some slower moving traffic. drivetime getting up there about seven minutes. the sunshine skyway bridge we still have a high wind advisory, so just be careful. you still have a 70 minute drivetime along with sunshine skyway from 75 to manatee county to pinellas point drive. the storms are starting to move in.

hillsboro county we have delay starting, look it to 75 going south. we can see live on sky tend how backed up we are right now. all those headlights heading south into tampa this morning. this is that busch boulevard along 275 with really slow traffic. drivetime already is 30 minutes from the apex down to tran3. that is worse than normal. no accidents or anything, but you will definitely want to leave early if you can. back to veterans expressway also getting slow as you pass line bought there and then i4 going into tampa passing 50th st. and into downtown you are little slow as well. looking in polk county, so far no significant delays. pope parkway near bartow road a little slow but nothing to worry about. if you're heading into tampa from work from polk parkway over 75 in tampa it is taking just about 60 minutes. sarasota and manatee county is very quiet this morning.

us 301 no accidents reported there. we are seeing rain, thunderstorms are actually starting to move in. that's the back of a right there. as a a result, we have a tornado watch in effect for the area. pascoe, hernando, and citrus county does not include pinellas, hillsboro, southward even polk county. what that means is that conditions are favorable for tornado. we don't have anything out there now but we will have to watch storms as they come on shore pretty closely. they come on shore pretty closely. the weather service issued a special marine warning about 53 miles offshore. one little sell sitting right here was rotating a little bit. but that was really all that i've seen so far. the further south you go there we expect a little less as far little less been in the atmosphere south of i4. but fernando and citrus county this is not just light to moderate rainfall this is pretty good thunderstorms especially hernando county northward. there are more more coming

the air temperatures in the lower 70s, do points are in the 60s. that is fuel for the fire few will as the storms come through. and the wind is there as well. higher winds aloft. so as the thunderstorms come through they can pull some of that wind down and that means gusty winds are possible. we are going to have some strong storms going through here over the next couple of hours. here's the forecast models, the, the heavy storms will be north of i4 but there will be another big dutch the comes through late this morning for manatee and sarasota counties. all of this should be out of here by the time we get to about two pm-3 pm. the slight risk for us and the best chance for tornadoes today up in the carolinas. we have about a 5% have about a 5% chance and that is something we will track very closely. cooler tomorrow, 60s and cooler through the weekend until we get into sunday when we start to warm things back up a little bit. one great one great way to keep up with this weather is our app
