89-year-old bob durough wrote and sang most of the tunes. he'll be a guest on our show tomorrow morning performing his school house rock song. it seems photographers will do anything to get a picture of a celebrity. while those photos bring in a lot of money, they can also bring a lot of trouble. >> reporter: in hollywood a picture these days isn't worth a through words, but potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars. famous faces are big business and the paparazzi is willing to do almost anything to get these shots. following the recent death of a photographer killed by a car while taking a picture of justin bieber's white ferrari the director of a new documentary called celebrity about the relationship between stars and photographers wondered how far is too far. >> why does somebody have to die for everybody to all of a sudden be aware of how bad something is? i don't know if it's going to get better. what do we need, another really

bad tragedy to have some laws put on the books? >> there's no mystery. >> reporter: the film includes impassioned opinions from some of hollywood's biggest stars. >> someone jumping over your wall. >> when all of a sudden you're hearing rumors that are not true on a cnn crawl, you sort of go this is cnn. >> reporter: technology has changed the business and the landscape of celebrity and fame. everybody, they can't get it quick enough now. we are so obsessed with celebrities. celebrities are sort of like the disease of our culture now, you know. everybody can't get enough. they want it on their phones, on the internet. they want it instantly. >> reporter: although a paparazzi slaw in place in california it's being -- law is in place in california it's being challenged in the courts meaning it's pictures as usual. >> i think being a public person, a celebrity people are interested in means they're going to want to know all about you and the minutia of your

more. >> reporter: the sign says that the redskins are thanking the greatest fans in the nfl and it is no exaggeration. as folks head out of here tonight, they're, of course, disappointed, but everybody has faith in the skins and they're looking forward to a lot of potential from the team for next season. >> feel like saying a cheer, but we're going to be all right. >> they got to deal with nfc east for how many years? we got them for 25 years. we're good. >> they're 5-11 team, we're super bowl champions, i love them just the same and i'll be here every single week. >> rg3 was hurting the whole game. we're still happy with the way we played, first time we really had something to may for the end of a season -- play for the end of the season. future is bright for redskins right now. >> won seven games straight, can't ask for nothing more. so hail to the redskins. >> we didn't win this one, but that's all right because we got rg3 and we got a lot of years in front of us. >> it's a good season. >> it's all right. >> we can still get along.

>> we all get along. we all got to be classy. >> reporter: we know this team has great chemistry. they clearly have the fans behind them. so next season it's looking ahead to beyond the playoffs and maybe even a super bowl. at fedex field lauren demarco, fox 5 news. fans tonight are already saying they can't wait until next year. the loss was tough to take, but for fans who have waited more than a decade for the team to play in the playoffs at home, the game itself meant a lot. >> when he was winning, we were winning 7-0 , they should have let him down, maybe play cousins, but it's okay. he's the coach. >> considering the offense just ended after the 1st quarter, the defense did really well. they were impressive. they played hard. i can't fault them for anything. if you're going to lose, kind of the way you'd like to lose with the team playing hard. >> the fans we spoke with gave credit to the seahawks for a

well played game. it did not take long for fans on facebook to react. layawn writes i'm a fan for life. tavon says it was still a good game, but i'm sure everyone would agree rg3 should have sat out after the last touchdown. if you'd like to share your thoughts, log onto the my fox dc facebook page. another big story, a senior administration official has confirmed president obama will nominate former senator chuck hagel as secretary of defense. the former senator is a republican from nebraska but could face a tough fight. he was against the surge in iraq and has said military action in iran would be a bad idea. he has also raised eyebrows with some statements he's made about israel leading some people to question whether he would be loyal to the nation. >> chuck hagel is a tremendous

patriot and statesman, served incredibly in vietnam, served in country as a u.s. states senator. he hasn't had a chance to speak for himself and so why all the prejudging, i don't know. >> congress will not be in session when the nomination is made tomorrow. the edge on d.c. now where a man's body was found in the narrow creek in the 8100 block of beach drive near portal street drive northwest. at this point investigators do not believe there was foul play. the metropolitan mitt and u.s. park police are investigating -- police department and u.s. park police are investigating. in d.c. police investigating three separate shootings tonight, the first one early this morning at 1900 block many street in northeast. 1 person was shot -- block m street in northeast. one person was shot while sitting on their couch and the other shooting on the 3900 block of pennsylvania avenue in southeast, two people shot in a house party, no word on their conditions. the news edge on maryland, state police charging 28-year- old david montgomery with the

murder of a westminster man. saturday police found the body of a 61-year-old man on the back porch of his west main street house. montgomery was in custody late last night after state officials found him driving the victim's car erratically in a parking lot in anne arundel county no, word on a motive for the murder. we saw a gorgeous weekend in d.c. will it continue into the workweek? we'll turn thing over to fox 5's gary mcgrady now for a last look at your forecast. >> super nice this weekend. i think it will continue. there may be a couple surprises for you. 48 now. temperature hasn't dropped, but it's dropping for quantico, manassas and culpeper 39, hagerstown 37. the big old whopping high january 5th, 52 degrees in d.c. that's bonus territory, right? we'll show you what's going on across nation. 17 the high for international falls today, the same for fargo. could you imagine seriously?

lincoln, nebraska 34, wichita 50, in texas in the 50s. we were warmer than albuquerque, amarillo and denver. so we're doing good. it really looks like the next several days the east coast is the place to be because we'll experience some unusual warmth coming our way, tomorrow not so much. it's going to be chilly even with sunshine, 43 degrees, breezy, too. so tomorrow even though we're in the lower 40s it's only going to feel like the 30s because that wind will be blowing 10, 15, gusting up around 20. warmer tuesday, 51 degrees, mixture of clouds and sun but not too bad. we're stuck in clouds now. that's one of the reasons why temperatures are fairly mild in the city at least. there's a little snow in the northwest indicative of colder air coming down from the north and west. that will get here overnight. that will start to take temperatures down. we're headed down to 36 degrees

in round one of the playoffs. first possession and it's rg3 with all kinds of time to complete this one to pierre garcon and he breaks the tackle and it's a 30-yard gain down to the seattle 21-yard line. four plays later griffin and that offense moving, 3rd and goal, griffin to evan royster, a 3-yard touchdown, 7-0 redskins striking first. on their second possession a 1st and goal on the 4, griffin froze on the move and -- throws on the move and comes down in pain, his helmet comes off. two plays later griffin on a 3rd and 4, yeah, no worries about that knee apparently. he comes right back and they strike gold, logan paulsen with the touchdown, 14-0. on the play griffin after the temperature gets taken down by bruce irvin. so they're called for a 15-yard penalty on the ensuing kickoff.
