m-a-r-i-l-o-uh. we have not located her at this time and we are interested in talking to her for follow-up. two vehicles we're interested in locating and we need your assistance with that. we have a hyundai tucson with nevada plate 114 baker 40, b40 an chrysler pacifica touring, nevada plate 19 d-4 01. these are the plates registered to the suspect that well located at the mandalay bay. so, there's a couple things need to occur at this time. one is the red cross is responding to the headquarters here at police department at 400 south martin luther king to r

from family members who are trying to locate their family that attended the concert and are unable to contact them. so that number will be established here shortly and we'll get it out to you to publicize it here shortly. additionally, anybody that may have cell phone video or any type of video associated with this event that would be of benefit to the investigation, please respond to the las vegas metropolitan police department headquarters at 400 south martin luther king and we will take custody of that video. so, you have it, you evaluated it and you think it would be of benefit please bring that down to the headquarters. so, family members, if you are unable to call or you do not want to wait for a call and you want to respond in person, we have set up a family retreat area for you to respond so we could help you locate your loved ones here at the headquarters. so, you will be contacted by a police officer here at headquarters and theyil

situation at the mandalay bay hotel and casino. they're telling us one suspect who they believe is the primary suspect has been killed in this but the bad news here is that 20 plus people dead in this mass shooting. those among the dead include some police officers, two officers are in the hospital, one critical, one nonlife-threatening injuries right now. police again looking for a suspect, someone tied to the suspect and you have that information, wisdom. >> yes, they just reported they're looking for a companion they're calling a person of interest. her name is mary lou danley, asian female 4-foot 11, 118 pounds. she was traveling with the suspect. they're calling her a person of interest. they're looking for two vehicles registered to the suspect both vehicles unknown color hyundai tucson with plates 114b40, chrysler pacifica touring unknown color, nevada plates 19 d-4 01 both registered to the suspect as well. they're also working on getting an area set up so that people who are loo

festival and you hear that. that's the gunfire that is ringing out. this is an outdoor concert stage just across from the mandalay bay hotel. it's rapid gunfire stops. there's a realization this is gunfire and then it's going to start again and now people are yelling to get down or get out. as you mentioned the las vegas boulevard is still on lockdown with ambulances and police response vehicles. we are hearing now as wisdom said at the top, witnesses were saying they thought they saw what looked like muzzle flashes from the upper floors of the mandalay bay hotel and now, yes, they are saying the shooter was on the 32nd floor. s.w.a.t. teams apparently going in there and breaking into that room to get to the shooter and they believe at this point that the threat is that contained. again, still looking for this woman described

danley. hopefully we'll get a picture an asian woman described as a roommate. they put out descriptions on two vehicles. there were reports also on the las vegas strip of shooters at other resorts, other hotels people were sheltering in place terrified. they did confirm that there are no other shooters at other resorts. there are no explosives around las vegas boulevard, either. still they did have the airport shut down for a short period of time. we understand that some flights now are starting to take off as well. this is the kind of thing that las vegas has drilled for many, many times. unfortunately now it is something that has become a reality for them. as far as the dead, as you mentioned, 100 injured, more than 20 dead. this is because full looked at that video, this is a large outdoor concert venue. there were they said in some cases up to 30,000 people there and so this shooter was up above. they were packed in the

if you've been to these outdoor concert venues there's fencing to kind of keep people inside the gated area so it was pretty tough for people to see what was going on, pretty tough for people to get out. we don't know if all of those were due to gunfire. some may have been injured just trying to get out and get to safety. we had some video from our director of production and news operations bill buyer who was on the scene as well. he knew something was going on because he was out near tropicana and started to see all these police vehicles ambulances and response vehicles fleeing down there to the scene so just really quite a distressing situation there in las vegas right now. we are waiting, of course, they're going to bring us more information as it comes. it looks like at this point, though, the situation is contained and now simply they're just trying to continue with the investigation. we're going to toss it back up to you guys in the studio. >> melanie thank you very much. again as they stated in that press conference more than a hundred injured, 20 p
