donate and help in winter haven, charley belcher, fox 13 news. thank you, charley. sue know, election dates always great when the sun is shining. there's no rain. but i can't remember the last day there was lot of rain. yeah. it's been a while. it's been a while. rainy season kind of unofficially ends in september. the end of september. so actually been pretty quiet since then. october, is typically dry month. youea dry month. in fact, we've only had 1.55 inches of rain since october 1st. and last time we actually saw any measurable rain here in tampa was all the way back on october 15th. we picked up a measly two tenths of an inch of rain. and as we go through the day today, it's dry. slight chance of couple of showers for tomorrow. we're not going to really make up any ground with that. maybe a couple sprinkles or light shower. that's just about it.
12:48 pm
working its way towards state for tomorrow. mainly just an increase in clouds. now beautiful looking day for today. we're seeing just partly cloudy skies. once again, that east and northeasterly flow across the state. picking up fair weather cumulus clouds. moving them across the state. but as you look at the water vapor imagery a lot of dry air over us over the past say week or so. now we're starting to bring a bit more of the moisture back across the state. we've got this weak boundary which has been kind of pushing that will give us enough uptick in clouds and maybe a few random showers maybe sprinkles for tomorrow. outside right now we're we're a 79. brandon warmed up into the 80s at 82 degrees. plant city has an 82 as well. westchase, you're at 80 degrees along with pinellas park. downtown st. petersburg, currently sitting at 76 degrees. 70s and 80s to our north. dade city wesley chapel land o'lakes all at 80 degrees. weeki wachee new port richey,

degrees. you work your way down into manatee and sarasota. lakewood ranch you're at 84 degrees. sarasota currently at 83. and then throughout interior, temperatures generally running in the upper 70s or lower 80s. now the view across the state partly cloudy skies. as you look a bit further into gulf of mexico. we do have more cloud cover more scattered showers that extends all way back towards texas. weak boundary slicing through the country. that will continue to work its way on to the east. and that means we see an increase in the clouds. but a lot moisture with this kind of fizzle out. as we go through the next 24 hours. so that's why even though we've got more clouds heading our way. we talked about the chance of rain, we're talking about a 20 percent chance of a couple of showers. but there has been some rain extending all the all way into great lakes lot of cloudy weather up there on backside clear skies, cooler temperatures. but there's nothing really to push that cooler air down across the deep south.
12:50 pm
what will probably actually see is maybe just a little bit of a drying effect. we actually kind of dry the atmosphere out. that's what we've been seeing with the last several fronts as they come through. we just kind of dry that dew point out a little bit more. and just ends up being beautiful looking weather. but for tomorrow we will see a bit more in the way of some cloud cover across the state. so for today, partly cloudy skies daytime high 82. then for tonight variable cloudy skies. it will be comfortable night. with seven-day forecast, keeps daytime highs sitting in either in upper 70s or low 80s. slight chance of a shower or two for tomorrow. and it looks like again, as we get into sunday and monday of next week, linda. thank you, jim. veterans in local hospital are getting a dose of musical
