and here's live look at the inaugural parade right now as it continues in washington, d.c. bagpipes are playing there in washington, d.c. but all of washington is not celebrating tonight. while some people party others are protesting at times the protests are getting violent. all part of the inauguration day january 20th, 2017. thanks for joining us tonight at 6:00 i'm iain page here in philadelphia. lucy noland is in washington, d.c. she's had front row seat to history. how you doing again, lucy? >> reporter: indeed. a little chilly out here but all is well hitter are you day. officials estimate 800 to us san people gathered at the national mall to witness history or to protest. they came from across the nation from around the world and did you not have to look far to find somebody from our area like a man named chris from phoeni phoenixville chester county. >> i mean you hear about all these people pulling back. what do you think you supported hillary. >> i did. i think at the end of the day we have to realize we could all agree on what we agree on and agree to disagree on what we disagree on.

vice-president joe biden and dr. jill biden getting a warm welcome home back in our area today. the bidens arrived home in the same way mr. biden did every week, by train. after that arrival the crowd welcome their hometown heros back with a special ceremony. fox 29's bruce gordon is live in wilmington. bruce, what a special welcome home for a just beloved couple. >> reporter: yeah, i think it's fair to say that joe and jill biden are delaware royalty. the first state sent him to the us senate down to washington in 1972. he returned today as a now former vice-president of the united states. the first and only ever vice-president from delaware. well, it was quite a celebrati celebration. ♪ >> reporter: many arrived early for what was billed as a welcome home wal rally for joe and jill biden. the crowd a mixture of the thankful and the fearful. >> very humble. very nice to everyone they meet. >> you're proud of him. >> yes. definitely am.

inauguration parade. riots breaking windows and burning trash cans even set a limo on fire. police have already arrested nearly 100 people and police are using pepper spray and tear gas to try to control the crowd at least two officers are hurt. back here in philadelphia the rain did not stop dozens of students heading to temple's campus today to make their voices heard on inauguration day. both high school and college students headed to the bell tower they protested a wide range of issues from women's rights to racial and economic issues. another being sworn president trump attend add lunch with senate and house leadership also a attendance former president bill clinton and hillary clinton. president trump spoke highly of his election opponent. >> i was honored, very very honored when i heard that president bill clinton and secretary hillary clinton was coming today. dave? >> reporter: iain, frightening situation for neighbors here in chester they try find out exact howl this happened and we try to learn more about the victims, two brothers who perish. fear on the 1,000 block of morton avenue in chester wisely cell pope video showing smoke rising from a house on the blo block. >> right now, i'm just like on the edge right now. >> reporter: fear turns to grief with firefighters reporting two brothers dying in the blaze. >> very nice. very nice. they stayed to themselves. yeah, so sad. >> reporter: marsha benton lives two doors over from the victims and says they were in their 30s and 40s and lived with their mother along with a disabled sibling. >> in shock kind of, you know. just in shock. it's still unbelievable. >> i can believe this is happening. >> we was watching the fire for like 20 minutes before they even arrived. >> reporter: one neighbor says there was an explosion followed by screams as the fire ensued. the search is underway for the

of leader of the free world. of course, we will have much more coming up tonight at 10:00. back to you in the studios, iain. >> all right, lucy, thanks. of course our full coverage of today's inauguration continues tonight at 10:30 we'll bring you a half hour inauguration special we'll have live coverage from washington, d.c. and lucy and followed by the fox 29 news at 11:00. back to your fox 29 weather authority now. as we take a live look at trenton rainy day on friday but what can we expect for tonight the weekend. is it a washout. here's meteorologist scott williams. >> scott? >> hi there, iain. it doesn't look locate wash out but it will remain mostly cloudy also we'll be keeping tabs on another round of rainfall as early as sunday morning and then the heaviest of the rain sunday and into monday. live look right now outside of our studios. we're still watching some cloud cover out there. cool conditions. temperature wise right now it's 41 degrees. we're kind of hold steady throughout the overnight. so in philadelphia those temperatures will bottom out right around 40.

36 degrees in the suburbs. keeping mostly cloudy skies also those areas of fog. the winds for tonight will be light. for tomorrow, winds out of the south five to 10 miles an hour. so temperatures milder than today right around 54 degrees. as we watch the latter part of the weekend, a potent storm system will take shape. we're talking about winds that will be gusting up to 50 miles an hour. some moderate to heavy rainfall once again sunday into monday. some locations could see over 2-inches of rain. so dry for the most part tomorrow. so we've advanced the clock ahead early on sunday morning. we're talking about temperatures mid 40s. so no frozen precipitation. but we are looking at some light to moderate rainfall first part of the day on sunday. then we get little bit of a dry break for much of the day on sunday. then overnight sunday into monday morning round three. it's going to be moving up. where you see the yellow. where you see the orange that will be some rainfall rates anywhere from a quarter an inch

to upwards of an inch per hour in some spots. as we go hour by hour, once again, most of your saturday is dry. sunday morning may be a tenth or more of an inch of rainfall and then look at what happens by 2:00 p.m. on monday. an inch in the poconos. 2-inches around philadelphia and down the shore and then by 11:00 p.m. on monday we could see over two and a half inches down the shore maybe 3-inches of rainfall that one computer model for philadelphia so heavy rain but also gusty winds really ramping up sunday night into monday. by 7:00 p.m. sunday, gusts up to 30 miles per hour and then overnight sunday into monday, this will be a concern. winds gusting up to 43 miles per hour philadelphia, 46 wilmingt wilmington. and look at the winds down the shore by monday morning gusts up to 50 maybe even higher than that down the shore. so we could be looking at some power outages. so cloudy and unsettled sunday into monday.
