It's 1949. Fountain Pens ONLY
Because the ballpoint won't be invented until 1952. (Never mind that Anne Frank's Diary was largely penned in ball point despite she died at Bergen-Belsen in 1945).
Nice movie with good acting that proves a point. The kids' clothes were changed as they moved ahead days/weeks. I rather liked this movie.

I'm trying to remember this
A bit of an odd movie about kids trying to get a playground open on Saturday, so they go to three different experts on the subject, and get varying reports. Problem is, they can't quite get what they said, and therefore the prognosis is weak, because their quoted opinions make the whole thing sound impossible to happen, so they go back, and get EXACT quotes, and well, everything is ok! You see? Wackiness. Alan Woodruff from "Are You Ready for Dating?" is one of the doofus kids here.
