(Public domain cartoon) Was amazed when I watched this 1941 Superman cartoon ("The Mechanical Monsters") and recognized that "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" (2004) copied the opening robot attack almost shot for shot. Same angles, same flying robot design, and even the way they swing their arms while walking.

This animation demonstrates a new practical model for rendering translucent materials. Translucent materials, such as marble, milk and skin have a soft and smooth appearance that cannot be simulated with standard lighting models. We illustrate the importance of correctly rendering translucency, and show how this can be used to eliminate the traditional hard computer graphics look.Our model is described in detail in the SIGGRAPH '2001 paper: ''A Practical Model for Subsurface Light Transport''.

This is The Second Go! Le Go! >Brickfilm. It is a documentary about a robot who wants to repair the light in the O.G.E.L- Deep-Bass-Nine Base. The "Fatal Error" after repairing the lamp and the destroying of the whole system (and shuting it down !) is not a mistake made by the robot ! ;-) enjoy it !!! *gg*

If you want to learn how to make your own film, this is the best way to do it! This first lesson tells you, in an entertaining way, the various tasks and equipment you will meet when making your own film. Other directors are taking up the other lessons, making this into a very cool series.
