Possessed of super strength and the ability to fly, Atom Ant was no ordinary insect. Whenever law enforcement agencies faced a problem they couldn't handle, they turned to him for help. Atom Ant's "secret headquarters was located in a private ant hill, with a mailbox at the entrance that read ATOM ANT. Deep in his underground laboratory, Atom Ant received calls for help from law enforcement agencies, or by picking up distress signals from everyday citizens through the use of his antennae....

The show features a hillbilly cat called Punkin' Puss who lives in the old worn-well house in the woods of the southern U.S. Punkin' is preoccupied with a hillbilly mouse called Mushmouse who lives in the house as well, and Punkin' frequently tries to shoot him with his rifle. In several cartoons, one of Mushmouse cousins visits and gives Punkin' Puss a hard time. Two shorts for instance: the second episode "Small Change, has Punkin' Puss (and later a dog as well) shrinking to mouse size,...

The Mumbly Cartoon Show is a Saturday morning animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and featuring the titular Mumbly, a cartoon dog detective. It was broadcast on ABC from September 11, 1976 to September 3, 1977 as part of Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape/Mumbly Show. This complication packaged reruns of the 1975 The Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show with Mumbly as a new component. The friendly pink mountain lion called Snagglepuss was minor character in several Hanna-Barbera cartoons before he got his own series, although his first appearance is open to debate. A character similar in design, called Snaggletooth, originally appeared in an episode of Quick Draw McGraw in 1959, but despite the name difference he clearly formed the seed of the Snagglepuss character. In addition, Snagglepuss got work as a supporting character on Augie Doggie & Daddy Doggie and with...

Inspired by the TV craze of rural sitcoms as The Andy Griffith Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres and others, Hanna-Barbera's cartoon equivalent, The Hillbilly Bears, took the stereotype of rural residents of the American South to the extreme. The series featured the Rugg clan, a family of dirt-poor country bears who lived in the mountains and lazed around to the sound of the banjo. Paw Rugg, the muttering head of the family, spent most of his time asleep, awaking only to blast someone...

Set during a time period resembling the late middle ages, three bumbling, Musketeer-like dogs loyally served their king as palace guards. Out of the three, purple furred Yippee was tallest, white furred Yappee was of mid-size height, and orange furred Yahooey was shortest. Their royal highness had to duck for cover whenever he summoned his "goofy guards" as they were prone to making flamboyant, smashing entrances. Their incompetency caused the king a considerate amount of grief, but...

Yogi Bear remains one of the utmost successful star characters to have been created by Hanna-Barbera. He began his backing segment on The Huckleberry Hound Show in 1958. By 1961, he was headlining his own series, The Yogi Bear Show , with the supporting segments Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle. Yogi Bear lived in Jellystone National Park, and his antics made park rangers question their career choice. For his part, Yogi suffered mainly from boredom, hunger and hunters. In their quest to come up with an original premise for a cartoon Hanna-Barbera Productions outdid themselves when they thought up the 40 foot tall purple primate called Grape Ape and his best pal Beegle Beagle (or, "Beegly Beagly" according to Grape Ape). In 1975, everyone's favorite animated cat and mouse team were back on Saturday mornings, this time splitting the bill with a 40-foot tall purple gorilla. Hanna-Barbera's hour-long The New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show debuted in the fall with one major difference from the original cartoon: Tom & Jerry were good friends! As a response to a growing concern that cartoons were becoming too violent, the producers though it would be in the viewers' best interest (as well as their own) to have...

Read an article on lipsynching in Bloodspell. It sounded really complicated. I tried using CrazyTalk with a Jared image and it came out pretty good and didn't take very long at all. I put some facial expressions in, trying to match to the poetry. Notice that Jared is breathing. I was playing with the shoulder strength and created a breathing rhythm. I didn't bother working with the breathing in terms of it relation to the speaking but you could get more convincing by working these two elements...

Knitwear rendering presents a significant challenge because of the many detailed characteristics of knitwear, such as the microstructure of yarn fibers, variations in stitch patterns, and shape irregularities. In our SIGGRAPH 2001 paper, we address this rendering problem by introducing a modeling primitive called the lumislice, which represents a yarn cross-section. By propagating a lumislice over a knitwear skeleton and adding soft shadow effects, we are able to synthesize realistic images of...

Almost all of the scenes consist of materials rendered at ?real time? on a home game console instead of an expensive and high-spec computer. This is our challenge striving for ?CG footage that you can touch? instead of ?CG footage you watch.?

The title written in Chinese means the way to reach true knowledge. I tried to depict my own realization of the circle of life in this animation, the destined suffering since the birth, the paralyzed salvation after the death and the voidness of meaning. The only way to escape from the circle of life is to see it and to realize it, although the realization evaporates in a moment. I wanted to see it to show it.
