This is an odd tape project on one side of a tape that appears to be a private conversation between Ginsberg and other artists that are not names. The conversation is interupted by Phone Calls and abruptly ends. There is a long silence and then there are two songs that are poorly produced that are not given names. Both f these songs appear on the album "Capitol Raspberry". The tape ends in mid-lyric.

The album is a sonic response to modernity and the impact the industrialised west is having on the "developing" world. The album was inspired by a visit my partner and I made to South east Asia last year and while in Vietnam/ Cambodia we were very touched by one wee girl who had suffered badly from a landmine blast. She had missing fingers, no nose and was very badly burned and scarred. She is the "Girl without a face". She was about 12. We felt a terrible guilt - gave her a...

Michael McClure, Poetry Workshop, July 1978. McClure concludes his series of classes with exercises that use the word deck to create stories. In addition to asking the students to read and discuss each other's word deck stories, McClure discusses Byron's "Don Juan," Burroughs' cut-up method, Mallarme's poem "Throw of the dice," and warns that the word deck exercise is too simple to generate poetry by itself. This is class 5 of 5.
