Set Cycles to approximately 33000 for smoother gameplay. Current sound set to Sound Blaster 16/AWE32 instead of recommended Gravis settings due to no proper Gravis support in browser version. Some aspects of manual included with elaboration from uploader below.
One level that loops after completion. Players seem to have 4 lives to spare. Collect power-ups from enemies and the environment to survive, while watching out for collisions!
Player 1 (Red on HUD): Mouse movement, LMB shoot, RMB smartbomb
Player 2 (Blue on HUD): QAZX movement, left CTRL shoot, left ALT smartbomb
Player 3 (Green on HUD): Arrow keys movement, right ALT shoot, right CTRL smartbomb

1-5 Change scroll speed
- 1: Reverse scrolling moderate speed
- 2: Pause scrolling in place
- 3: Resume normal scrolling
- 4: Quick scrolling
- 5: Hyperspeed scrolling
D Toggle map tiles (collision and boundaries) on / off
S Create shrapnel at player position (respective particles such as coin spawn and flameballs still effect player)
C Change spawned debug shrapnel type
T Visualise enemy scenery collision (hold)

COMMAND-LINE OPTIONS

The following options can be used when you run this game from the DOS prompt:
þ -userLevels
Use this option to play user-defined levels from the LEVELS directory.
þ -setSound
Executes the set-up menu. Same as running SETSOUND.EXE
þ -noPause
Doesn't wait for a key at initialisation if no errors occur.
þ -config FILESPEC
Specifies an alternate path and filename for the configuration file.
Use the -setSound option with this option to change the sound settings.
This is useful if you wanted to run Black Shrapnel from CD-ROM.
Example: BLACK -config C:\BLACKCFG\BLACK.CFG
