This was my entry for the brickfilms.com-contest "A peculiar Event" (APE). It's about how things can escalate just because of such simple things like a closed door. Merry Christmas Everyone! After taking several children's animation workshops at Canada's National Film Board, my 6 year old son and I put this very simple animation together for our friends. My son built the Lego characters, did most of the animation and played the piano for the soundtrack.

"Strange Day - First Night" - Our First check with StopMotion and Bricks... ;-) We had no Plot just made a little line where the mini-figure is moved to and what will happen next. we jused iStopMotion, an Apple PowerBook and Logic Audio for the Sound. If we would do it again, we would do a little bit more sound effects like blizzard-sounds but we decided now to leave the first one like it is made in the first night... so have fun with another "Strange Day" in Lego-Land !...

Entered in the Brickfilms.com APE (A peculiar Event) Contest, all though, it originally was planned to be just another film. After adding and taking a things away from the script it had the twist or two neaded to enter the contest. The story is that of two brothers, Matt and Cal, who tend to play too many video games and watch too much TV. They also are often the target of any strange or peculiar events. Because of this they are, to some extent, disfunctional and weird much of the time....

This is, again, a Lego movie. Its one of my old films. It is a really quick wrestling test, followed by two films that were going to be made, but didn't get finished due to my laptop crashing (And no, I couldn't use a cross over cable or a CD/DVD burner to save the films, as my laptop didn't recognise them when I inserted them in.
