LibriVox recording of The Browns at Mt. Hermon by Pansy.
Read in English by BookAngel7
When she mistakenly receives an offer of work addressed only to "Mary Brown," the lonely young heiress Mary Thornton Brown forms an audacious plan--to spend her summer not as a guest at a fashionable resort but as a hired girl in Mrs. Roberts' boarding house. Over the course of her adventure, she meets people from many different walks of life, a number of them, to her amusement, sharing her own last name. A certain gentleman boarder is particularly pleasant--but even he is not the best friend Mary will meet during her summer at Mt. Hermon. - Summary by bookAngel7

Talk about preachy, this was less a story and more a sermon than anything! If this is your genre, you will get more than you expect. Not my type o hype tho.
Reader was excellent, recording quality was excellent, just WAAAAAY too preachy.

Trying to keep track of all the Mr. Browns (and Mary Browns) in this story is a fun little challenge. :) A very sweet story in harmony with the rest of Pansy's material. Mt Hermon is strongly reminiscent of early Chautauqua, with its tents and sessions and lectures. The reader does a wonderful job. Thanks for the recording!
