A long time ago back in 2020, I was at the Society Shoppe in Harrow finding some rare and obscure items. And when I was there, I glanced at the shelf and found a mysterious unlabeled cassette tape for 75 cents. The tape was in a Maxell Case, and the tape was from Memorex. So I knew I had to purchase it and see what was on the tape. The previous owner of this tape is anonymous to this day, but this tape has some interesting things on it. Recorded off of an Indianapolis, IN station onto a cassette tape at the time. It was digitized a few days after the recording was made. The interruption in the song is not the interruption originally broadcast at the time. The audio was re-encoded from a .M4A with other stuff not from the radio and excerpted to the EAS test only.

One of the promotional products that was produced when the early 1990's Super Mario Bros. movie came out was this audio cassette tape that tells an abridged version of the store. The tape says it's 35 minutes long for some reason, but it's more like 45 minutes long. The actors are better than you'd think and they come pretty close to the characters in the movie. If you're not a fan of "So Bad It's Good" movies then you might enjoy this version of the story better. The files here...

The programme is very similar of "Motown III" but replaces many of the more upbeat selections with lower-tempo ones. The tape's label is actually a light purple colour, not the dull gray it appears as in the cover picture -- compare against the E-Bay photograph under the "JPEG" option (file m2-4046.jpg). Looks to be the third release from Thrasher's Digest. The comp is labelled TD-003. There are a tonne of great bands on this tape. Check the track list below! This is a cassette rip of the compilation. I don't believe this is an original tape but one that came from way back in the tape trading days. It's definitely old but has the same tape/label/writing as another tape I acquired at the same time. I'm guessing you won't find a copy of this easily.. so enjoy this slice of Hardcore history!...

"Back in the day" many car deallers would include "starter" tapes with new vehicles to show off their factory audio systems, and this is one of them. This particular cart was found when clearing out my Grandmum's estate in after her death in 1997. A classic 1960s/early 1970s rock & roll classics programme, with emphasis on the "Motown Sound"™. This, and the Muzak "American Graffiti" tribute programme , is the kind of stuff KKSN-FM specialised in and got me through my hellish teenage years in the late 1990s/early 2000s!
