Exhibition was to have opened May 24, 1910, but due to the death of King Edward VII the Festival was cancelled and the exhibition was held at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool
Place of exhibition varies: Art Gallery of Toronto, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, National Gallery of Canada and many other galleries across Canada
Exhibitions for 1883, 1885, 1888 and 1918 were held in conjunction with the annual exhibitions of the Ontario Society of Artists; exhibition for 1950 was held in conjunction with other societies as the 'Exhibition of contemporary Canadian arts' at the Art Gallery of Toronto
Exhibition for 1930 held in conjunction with exhibition of photographs of buildings submitted for medal awarded annually by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and exhibition of wax miniatures by Ruth Burke. Exhibition for 1932 held in conjunction with exhibition of photographs of buildings submitted for the gold medal and other awards of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and exhibitions by John Alfsen and Carl Schaefer. Exhibition for 1934 held in conjunction with exhibition of drawings, etchings and wood blocks by Eric Gill
In 1909, two exhibitions were held numbered 30th and 31st. From 1910 to 1929, the exhibitions were annual and were numbered consecutively. In 1930, the number 51st was repeated in order that the number of each exhibition thereafter would correspond with the year in the society's history. In1964, two exhibitions were also held, numbered 84th and 85th
