Subject: Best Copies We'll Ever Get
Subject: Best Copies We'll Ever Get
Many thanks for posting these rarities. This is definitely the sharpest looking and best sounding C-11 compilation we can hope to receive. Finding ideal copies of any and all of these are really challenging. A year before Youtube was launched, I obtained a VHS titled Uncensored Cartoons which contained most of the C-11 plus a couple other rarities owned by Turner (in terrible picture quality), then in later years I obtained laserdisc quality copies, but the sound was murky. (This is the clearest soundtrack I've ever heard of The Isle Of Pingo Pongo). Hopefully the day will come when the Warner legal department will allow for a release of these and other un-PC titles for the collector and film enthusiast audience.

UPDATE 13-01-2022:
In a side-by-side comparison I’ve noticed that the VHS version I have of ‘Sunday Go to Meetin' Time’ has better detail and colour than the Thunderbean 1080p version.
The vhs rip has the a.a.p. intro and is slightly cropped but the detail is pretty amazing.
If anyone wants a copy for comparison just let me know.
This is incredible, to be able to watch these in HD is something I never dreamed would happen.
Thanks and appreciation to all those involved in making these available.
We are not worthy.

What an amazing upload. Thought we would never get quality even close to this. Is it 4k? NO, but it is as close to HD as we'll probably ever get for these shorts. Some of the darker night shots like in Angel Puss as well as others have NEVER looked this amazing. You can see everything crystal clear! These are on Warners own permanent ban list. Not sure how long this will be up. Any Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies fanatic HAD BETTER grab these while they can. These absolutely had to be pulled from old individually collected film prints be it 16mm or slightly better. They were NEVER included on the old laser disk release, never EVER broadcast nationwide except maybe in a fluke where they were slipped in on a local affiliate, and never allowed on any DVD release. Old worn out VHS tape copies was all we had. Jerry Beck (who has worked closely with Warner) confirmed recently that even the censored eleven was indeed restored for preservation purposes along with every single other Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies short ever made, but those official restorations were just stored away and forever banned from being released as recently as just a few years ago. Very safe to say this is probably the best quality the public will ever see. Please give a big thank you to the original owner of these files and PLEASE pass along an absolutely HUGE THANK YOU to the collector or collectors that cared for the original sources and saved these from being destroyed. Thank you for taking the time to upload them.
