my buddies and I were travelling the States, being freaks and catching as many jambands as we could in '98. After staying outside of D.C on the 17th we found out that Clambake was playing in Morgantown. I had their first album and loved it to death although never saw them.
We dosed some terrific liquid from a head at a diner then experienced one of the best shows ever. The absolute family feeling was unreal. Dancing, smiling, tripping....then we all were taken out of this place and danced and went in circles at a place across the street then back in again...during a song!!!!! This was near the end. Amazing.
Oh, then they played on the streets 'till 2 am or so. I will never forget that night.
Although it was difficult, being a Canuck and the band rarely playing near us, I saw them 20 times after that in 3 years including a few festivals.
Best band ever!
