Retired Lieutenant Colonel Keith Self shares experiences from his distinguished military career.

The Color Guard Unit of the Armistice Memorial Post 2195 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America will open the program with a presentation of the colors.

Keith Self is a 1975 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Serving as an Army officer for 25 years before retirement, he was later recalled to active duty in 2002 - 2003 for service in Afghanistan and Qatar where he participated in the Central Command on General Tommy Franks' staff planning for the invasion of Iraq.

Sponsored by the Allen Public Library, VFW Armistice Memorial Post 2195 and General Bernardo de Galvez Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, this program is free.
