Galveston Elementary, home of the Lions, has served the central Chandler community for over 55 years, opening our doors in 1963 as one of the first elementary schools in the Chandler Unified School District. As a united community of educators, students, parents, and volunteers, Galveston has set our vision to be recognized and respected as one of the most passionate groups invested in education. We are accomplishing this vision by meeting the individual needs of our students and helping them recognize academic growth through a thoughtful belief system and effective classroom practices that include: authentic learning experiences, high cognitive demand, reading and writing connections across all content areas, and student learning supported with an abundance of texts offered in all of our classrooms.
