For me, this and 9-22 are the 2 best of '01. 9-1 is close. November Pacific Northwest is close. 12-29/30 is close. And 3-31 with 9-6 are also close.
These are not concerts, they are akin to experiencing an alien abduction. Or being live to see and hear a '73 Dew out of Dark Star on an 75 degree California night.
I recommend you check out the show reviews/ best of etc at discobiscuitsDOTnet [bip 2.0] and check out Mr. Zan, Treemac, tpace, CEK etc (apologies to others).
They have helped me re-connect with the Biscuits in a huge way and also separate the hits from the misses for there is SO MUCH music yet time is limited.
I miss all of you.
"Cold Imports!!! 2 for $5...who wants some?"

that would imply that spring tour 2001 is something other than one of the 5 best tours this band ever played.

this is truely a different kind of bisco trance being played here. I am green with envy of anyone that was at this show as it was in my hometown. If only I had been into the biscuits a bit sooner and I could have been at this show. The nughuffer is one of the best I've heard. Do yourself a favor and download this show right now

i listed april 9th disc 1 (two days after this show) as my all time most played disc but i think disc 1 from this show might soon overtake it. spaga > shemrah is fucking off the hook. the rest of the show is amazing but these two are definately the highlights.

I will second all of the praise for this show adding that it is loaded with heavy, raging, techno jams that are unique to the Majestic theatre in Detroit. I think anyone who has been to the Majestic will know what I mean. Overall this show is impeccable. Top 10 all time.

This is one one of my favorite shows of all time. So much techno rage its hard to listen to sitting down. Everything about the show is off the hook. Such a connection between the band and it just never stops. Please download this show for your sake.

This show is fantastic. The opening sequence of Spaga>Shem>NFN is perhaps my favorite opening that I've heard these guys do. The second set is off the charts as well, with the previously mentioned Nug, and any show with a Munchkins is worth your listen. The sound quality is pretty good, a little boomy on the low end but nothing that a little level tweaking can't fix. For an aud recording, I'd give it a 7 or 8 I guess. Download it though because this show is great. One of the best from 01.

This Detroit show is one of those few *GEMS* on the Spring '01 tour. The first set really starts to pick up with the Spacebird (one of the best versions from back when they played it slow) and the Floodlights that follows is extremely powerful as well. This ain't yo grandmama's Floodlights, I can tell you that much.
But it isn't until Set II that things truly start to go insane. This is *THE* Nughuffer, widely regarded by most Biscuits connoiseurs as one of the 3 best versions (if not the #1). It's been lies... all lies... and TRANCE (thump! thump! thump! thump!).
The whole Munchkin sequence that follows is pretty darned intense as well. I vividly recall the inverted ATW getting me so jacked up at the show that I sweated through my pants from dancing so hard.
I definitely reccomend picking this one up.
