Sound here is pretty good.

Jam, In the Meantime - Other than having some cool sounds here and there, the opening jam is pretty boring and not all that interesting. It just never really goes anywhere. Pretty cool licks from Barber near the end of the jam though. There's a really beautiful minute or so right before In the Meantime, which is played fine but contains no jam.

Overture - There's a really atmospheric drum and bass jam in this Overture, and some really interesting interplay between Magner and Barber. Like. Magner switches to a 1/64 note arpeggiator and it gets crazy for a bit. Really good jam overall, though Barber gives away the ending a little bit.

MEMPHIS > Munchkin - Cool guitar god Barber 1st MEMPHIS jam, but it's nothing you won't find in a plethora of MEMPHIS 1st jams. I will say that Barber sounds very on point with the guitar - very few flubs here. Cool bassline from Brownstein in part of this jam out of MEMPHIS. Other than a few cool parts, and the fact that Sammy is a madman in this jam, I found myself pretty bored. The peak into Munchkin is pretty cool.

Munchkin > Voices - The jam out of Munchkin goes nowhere at all and they get stuck in one of those loop jams where they're all playing similar riffs and don't expand on them.

Resolution - Standard.

Spy - Standard.

Hope > Sound 1 > Shelby - This is actually pretty cool. The jam here is a drum and bass jam but in a major key, this jam doesn't really go anywhere unfortunately, and it's a real missed opportunity I think. It sounds for a bit like they're going to be going into Story, but it never happens and they head to Sound 1. The last few minutes before Sound 1 are fantastic. The very end of the peak before the Sound 1 drop would have been perfect to go into TVM middle. Oh well. The "Sail Away" tease is really more of a jam, and it's also awesome. Awesome. Once they get into the Sound 1 jam it's instant dance party time long time. Brownstein is instantly in the pocket and it will be hard to not bob your head to this one. The interplay between Barber, Brownstein, and Magner here is really psychedelic for a while. Magner tries leading them into all-out craziness territory but Barber doesn't really follow suit, unfortunately. The peak is a little f'd, but oh well.

Waltz - Standard.

Dazed > Dublights > Ah Moshi Moshi - Pretty cool dub jam for a while in Dazed and Confused, turns into a trance jam with e-xylophones from Magner. The last minute before Floodlights is awesome. The jam out of Dublights goes nowhere for far too long. The Moshi Moshi jam starts out great. Cool that they end on the jam instead of going back into a song.

Don > Confused - After a crowd chant for Don, the crowd gets it. Really, really cool 1st jam here. Magner is crazy. The second jam is nothing special, though it does get really neat for a minute or so when Sammy drops the drums altogether. Barber is also a maniac on the way back to Dazed and Confused.

Wet - Standard.

Jamilia - Standard.

4 stars. A little too much filler for a 5 star, but really great stuff in the standouts. Standouts: Overture, > Sound 1 > Shelby, > Dublights

the opening jam > song kill. Definately download 9/27-10/1.

Hmmm, this first jam is really teched out. It seems there are some drum loops and things going on earlier which were cool. Doesn't sound like normal 03 to me. I will update later as the show progresses. Globs of purple mud elevate.
