Or in between story did any else hear that or was I imagining thins it was the only show I didn't go to on the run so I'm only going by this recordings please let me know anyone....I wish I didn't go the first night and subed it for this night but I had to keep the tradition of going the first night of the run for this 7th year in a row. Sorry for ranting my fellow biscuit family but if anyone has any of the other nights I'd appreciate a link for them thanks a bunch hope everyone's having a good start to the year see y'all in February at the E Factory.....the end

Haven't seen as many Bisco Shows up on archive.org of late. Would love to have the rest of the NYE's Run. Loved Home Again and the Rock Candy->Tricycle-> Rock Candy seque. It is great to hear them rocking/raging, especially when you are unable to attend shows this time of year.

Not quite the best show of the run, but a solid show from start to end. The last 5 songs are particularly worth listening too.
Odd setlist choice, much like the first night, but the performance and energy are both top notch.

Although this night is pretty widely recognized as being "not as good" as the next night (where's the tape huh?), it still shows a tremendous level of promise for the future. I don't want to get my own hopes up and say that I think they'll tour in 2014, but maaaaan one can only hope right? Maybe they'll make a surprise announcement at the Electric Factory in a couple of months...
But anyway, back to this show. It's so tight from front to back, opening with the first Eulogy in close to four years, and a surprisingly polished version at that. Reactor has a kind of World is Spinning-esque opening that apparently confused the hell out of Phantasy Tour; this version is solid but skip-able. The Astronaut opens with a huuge eleven minute jam that features some Abraxas style riffs from Barber and some psychedelic dance madness from Magner--who has been by far the MVP of the run. Story of the World and Spacebird (in fact the whole show) feature incredibly patient jamming and interplay between Barber and Magner. No peaks are rushed, everything sounds as it should. Even Barber's tone sounds better than it did in 11 and 12!
The second set is just about perfection. I have to say, I think On Time is a pretty terrible song, and I'm not that big a fan of Minions either, but I thought both worked great in the set; in fact, hearing whatever Magner is doing in On Time at around 7:30 it might be my highlight of the show. The Tricycle sandwich sounds as perfect as it did on 2010/05/28 when it concluded the second set at the Ogden Theater. The choice of Home Again for an encore seems perfectly apt: the Boys are Back! I can't wait to see what hot fire they bring tonight.
I'm giving this 5 stars in light of the past three years of hit-or-miss Biscuits shows. But I highly recommend that you download the soundboard for 2013/12/28 which was even better. You can check out a video of that show here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J0Ecg0IWKY
